If you buy extra case fans, they should come with things like this but not exactly like that. Instead of 1 male molex to 4 3pin they come with 1 male molex to 1 3pin to 1 female molex.

Yep, more than enough to supply power for 10 fans each rail

QUOTE(deric88 @ Feb 5 2010, 01:46 AM) Which of these is a better choice? No, I doubt the Vantec ION2+ 600W can supply 600W continuously while I'm sure the ST50F can supply 500W continuously.Silverstone Strider ST50F-230 500W RM259 or Vantec ION2+ 600W RM290 i'm looking at the modular models, is vantec worth the extra 30 bux for the extra 100W? Might be overheating also. |

QUOTE(billytong @ Feb 16 2010, 01:42 PM) PSU half/spoiled. Sometimes can boot some times cannot. think it is time to replace new one. Well, some Cooler Master models do provide 5 years warranty. For that budget and requirements, I'd recommend Xigmatek. Something like the NRP-PC602 or NRP-MC702.Budget RM200-RM299 Pentium D (yes that HOT power eater thing) but I will be planing about future PC upgrade, with quad Core cpus, decent graphic card etc. So a good psu that can feed those. 1. Running well in non-air-cond environment. 2. Long lasting. like 5 years + 3. I do not overclock. 4. Not cooler master. (because they are the reason I ask question here.) 5. 12cm or bigger fan. 6. Hopefully can support SLI/crossfire but this is optional. Whats the best in those price range? |

QUOTE(billytong @ Feb 16 2010, 05:21 PM) thanks for the info, looking forward on these Xigmatek, gonna check up in lowyat or this forum bulk list. What happened to your previous 1? No cooler master I am anti cooler master PSU now. I just checked, NRP-602 is RM285 while NRP-702 is RM330. Might be lower still This post has been edited by Silverfire: Feb 16 2010, 05:31 PM |

QUOTE(TreAnT @ Feb 23 2010, 10:23 AM) Hi all, The CM GX series got much more amps when compared to the CM Silent Pro series. Lets exclude Real Power from the equation Planning to use 5850 in crossfire. Which PSU is recommended from the following: CM GX 650w or CM silent pro 600w or CM real power pro 650w hehe...reason all CM is bcuz i'm a CM fan... wud also appreciate any recommendations of other brands though. Budget not more than 400. Thanks! QUOTE(zyde @ Feb 24 2010, 09:24 PM) hye everybody..just wan to ask. For your current system, maximum power draw without overclocking during load is around ~350W only. Its enough for HD5850 Crossfire(adds ~150W) and mild overclocking but anything higher you'd have to go for 700W and above PSU to avoid system instability.my rig here i5 750, ati 5850 4g ddr3 ram. 650w xingmatek i'm planning to upgrade to crossfire and overclocking my system..is't my psu watt enough to support my future system? thanx.. QUOTE(zyde @ Mar 15 2010, 12:01 PM) wat happen if my xingmatek psu power cant support my system due to overclocking? iz it my psu will burn out or juz shut down.. QUOTE(:3mushy:3 @ Mar 15 2010, 04:06 PM) It will simply power on > power off. If this happens just reset the BIOS through CMOS switch or take out mobo battery (if your mobo doesn't have the CMOS switch). However, if your overclock exceeds the optimal output by certain amount of wattages, it will kill your power supply slowly till it can't be turned on anymore. This post has been edited by Silverfire: Mar 15 2010, 04:10 PM |

Personally used Xigmatek NRP-MC751 to SLI 9800GTX+, not bad

QUOTE(TristanX @ Mar 26 2010, 02:06 PM) And high efficiency power supply to pay less electricity bill. Please do note that even if your PSU is rated 550W it doesn't load 550W at all times. It only loads the power required by your PC at that particular moment. |

If ST50F vs. ST50F-ES, I'd go for ST50F-ES. With pros stated above by tuonn, the ST50F-ES bangs over ST50F anytime.

Vantec can hardly power up a rig with E5300 and 9800GT so skip Vantec at whatever costs.
