The SX Mini ML class is going to be released. Wait for it. If you still want an M class then, the price will be lower.

Initially Yihi wasn't going to upgrade firmware for M class anymore. But a lot of M class owners complained so Yihi agreed to more firmware upgrades. But it'll never be on par with the ML class.

The DC5V port? Its more durable than the USB port. But its better to charge your batts using an external charger.

USB connecter broke off in many cases in US due to rough handling. P4U claims they changed it to the DC type because its better to withstand wear and tear. And they were tired of the amount of warranty claims of broken USB connectors.
I reckon P4U happily did away with the USB port cos it meant no firmware upgrades and you'd have to buy a newer version all the time.
I'm fine with it. The DC5 connector is really a more robust one. But I've always used an external charger.

As for the DC5 port, its pretty common. It was in all the old Nokia and other cell phones. And also in lots of electrical devices.

My Goliath V2 is on the shelf right now. A lot of Goliaths were sent out with wrong sized o-ring. I'm waiting for new thinner o-ring from FT.
If you want to buy a Goliath V2, go to a shop and test it first. Unscrew everything apart to see if it can be screwed/unscrewed smoothly. If the o-ring is too fat on the deck section its very difficult to unscrew it.
