QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jan 16 2016, 01:17 AM) Stick with B+W for the strong NDs if you have the dough... but it does give you a colour cast unfortunately... Heck even the Lee Big Stopper has a colour cast lol. Otherwise the Haida brand slim ND1000 is a good alternative, but it flares more (of course) and it still gives you a slight cast. STAY AWAY from the newer Hoya HD ND1000s - apparently they make pictures noticeably less sharp for some unknown reason. They don't have much of a colour cast though, which makes it even stranger. If you have endlessly deep pockets and don't mind shipping stuff from the US, there's also Breakthrough Photography, a relatively new kickstarted brand that makes awesome filters (but for a super premium 'upper bracket' price of course). Supposedly their newest X3 ND1000 is top pick of the ND litter because it only has VERY LITTLE colour casting and is very, very sharp. Unfortunately, the X3 also makes the B+W filter (or even Zeiss... if they have ND1000 stuff) seem... well... reasonably priced in comparison lol. Supposedly lah. I haven't tested the Breakthrough stuff myself so I can't say for sure. Plus USD180 w/o shipping for the 72mm ND1000 is a bit too rich for my amateur blood. That said, I just lost my Zomei ND1000 (AND my CPL + ND16 + Tamrac Filter Case) during my last trip... so I might just bite the bullet for one of their NDs (maybe one of the X2 ND32/6-stoppers) and see what the fuss is all about. As for vignetting, read below: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

I was wondering if the lens cap can fit the slim XS-pro mount properly without poping out |

The next big convention is in February supposedly... so yeah, best guess is that's the soonest they can "announce" anything (if they want to anyway... the A6100 has been delayed twice already supposedly)... and mind that "announcement" and "shipping" takes a few more months.Am planning to buy A6000 as soon as the price drops And, it seems like whatever's coming next, it's probably NOT going to be the A6000 replacement per sé, just a step up cam like the A7ii is to the A7. So expect very little in terms of "price reduction" for the A6000 as it's going to continue being sold as the "entry-level enthusiast" cam - plus Sony has been continously "adjusting" the price since launch anyway. You can still wait though, especially if you have no hurry to buy a cam. BlizzardCraft The Meike for the A6000? It's cheaply built, but works OK. You need an external cable from the grip to your cam for the vertical shutter button to work though - the A6000 doesn't have the required shutter contacts within the battery connection (it was never built for a vertical grip lol). Anybody having the problem of stickers of serial number starting to peel off from Sony lenses?
The sticker on my 55mm starting to peel off, how do i claim warranty if it comes out completely? >< QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jan 17 2016, 09:25 PM) News? As for the Meike grip, the A7 one should be fine for light-moderate use, and won't need that pesky wire thing for the vertical release. OFC it's not as robust as the ori grip but should work fine unless you torture it. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jan 18 2016, 08:53 AM |
