I don't have any problem using 2 antivirus, but I'll make sure only one has real-time protection. The other one is just an on-demand scanner.

I'm using the free avast! for protection and antidote for scanning.

antidote uses Karspersky engine and it can be carried around in your thumbdrive, no need to install. It's the same thing as McAfee AVERT Stinger. Perfect for technicians.

1st story: when i used norton av and panda av (both trial) when im on a war against the most dangerous virus/trojan/worm during early 2000... the CHERNOBYL..... both worked out flawlessly....

2nd story: when i used norton av and mcafee av (both full) on my windows 98se... it was fine at first... next morning when i turned on the pc.... i cant enter windows.... it stuck at the loading page.... sent to shop... they say its becoz there are two antivirus....

3rd story: when i used avg free and kaspersky av to beat the hell up out of RavMonE... kaspersky did the job well enough for me.... avg 7.1 cant detect the virus... but kaspersky cant detect several trojans in my pc... but avg 7.1 can.... so its totally helping each other huh??? hehe.... but now my kaspersky trial version has ended.... so im using the latest 7.5 avg free... now it can detect RavMonE.... and beat the hell up again... haha....

conclusion... i only encountered one problem when using two avs....
