Nope, it won't lock automatically.
That's why people are installing OBD locks.

btw I also notice when at night, theres a light shining down on the cup holder area directly below the air con controls..can tht light be turned off?

new owner here. modern steel metalic E spec. collected my car last week

the light comes on whenever you turn on your position/ head lights, can't be turn off, unless you re-wire it to something else

or just unplug the light bulb

Yup, as Taeng said, it can't be turned off manually unless you go through some wiring.
Not that big of a problem tho, as soon as you get used to it, you wont be feeling it!
