Is that the one with 4K panel? Not a very good panel for the laptop unless you really need that resolution for the things you do.

2. Fresh install window & I need obtain my window key..

You can download and put the installation files into a USB drive. The files can be downloaded from Microsoft website at: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10

You shouldn't need a cd-key if you're installing into a machine originally came with Windows 10, Activation will detect and automatically activate it. You must get the correct version of Windows10 for that to work, like my Dell uses Single Language Edition instead of Home Edition.

If you're installing into a M2 SSD, remember to get the driver from MSI and load it into the drive too if you need UEFI.

This is just from my experience gained from clean installing for my Dell, so it may be differ for other brands IDK. Or if anyone else have better way of doing it.

I do think it is a good idea to use mechanical keyboard as to differentiate from the rest of budget 1050ti laptop. However I suggest they make one with 1060.

For gaming, I think the 1050Ti is more important than the i7. The Dell also comes with a genuine Win10 for those who might need the laptop to do any legal stuff...

Will seriously consider this model if this equipped with nvme ssd + good screen.

Wait for review first.

Beautiful laptop. If it's price RM1k cheaper than Alienware 13 R3, I think it will sell well.

15" is just nice for 1080p. GTX1060 is really good balance for 1080p/60 gaming. It seem to be more compact than the Alienware 15.

Now Dell please make a XPS15 with GTX1060.

Even better, please put a 1060 into the XPS15, better late than never to eat into Razer Blade 14 cake.

Please don't buy that Dell with TN panel and support Dell for using Malaysia as a TN dumping ground. It should be no excuse for them not to offer IPS at least as an option.

The 7567 TN panel isn't a great one too IIRC. The IPS panel they put into the 7559 isn't a really good IPS too in terms of color accuracy, but it is much better than the TN panel.

I for one will be more annoyed by the color and viewing angle than light bleed.

C'mon, paying RM4k for a laptop already still get a TN panel?

Yeah hoping to get a 1060 if possible  hmm.gif  Reviews for the 7577 should be out soon but the problem is most of the reviewers will be western and even their base model for 7577 comes with 1060 which makes it a great value but over here its 1050  sweat.gif

Is there any non western review that are actually good? It's not a problem, just take in all the good information and make your decision to buy or not. We'll be all here to discuss the pro and cons.

I wonder why they put a 1050 instead of the Ti version. Anyhow, 1060 is the way to go with this model, look so nice on Dave2D video.

What's your budget?

You're probably looking for:
4 Core CPU (i5 HQ or i7 HQ)
IPS screen (better get the high grades ones if budget permits)
16GB RAM
Some sort of SSD

For people who do not have a main desktop computer and laptop is the only PC they have, IPS or TN screen make a big deal in terms of what do you want to do with the laptop.

Yep, just use the money you budget for the monitor to get a better laptop, unless your work requires multi monitor setup or the extra screen estate.

I second to getting low grade IPS instead of any 60Hz TN. Usually laptops that comes with TN screen are just try to cut cost, that's all. So they won't put in great TN screen.

Except for those 120Hz TN panels which may be a lil more useful IF that's your only PC and you're playing a lot of CSGO. Even then, try get a 120Hz IPS screen instead if there's an option.

Someone mentioned a friend using TN screen laptop for design work, just wondering if she used a color calibrated IPS screen before and how does it compare? Or because using the laptop due to budget limit.

As for that chart which make AHVA screen seems better than a IPS screen, well, not true.

I wish OLED cost the same as IPS in 2017... too bad.

120Hz IPS display will be the trend in 2018.

Gsync is getting less important because of the existence of 120Hz display.

For laptop, I'll take the 60hz with Gsync instead of 120hz screen. Zero screen tear, 60fps works great not to stress the GPU for a cooler laptop.
Problem is Gsync doesn't work with Optimus, and I want to use the iGPU when I'm not gaming for better battery life.
It's almost end of 2017 and it isn't solve yet.

If I haven't bought the Alienware, I will most probably pick that up and save a few hundred ringgit.
Putting in a 1060 and adding fingerprint sensor + TB3 USB-C is really a good trade off for smaller battery and sub-woofer.

I take a low grade IPS over that 7567 TN panel anyday.
7577 - 68% sRGB
7567 - 49% sRGB
At that price, don't expect XPS laptop level display panel.
