Depends on your skill also actually. Usually start up price for website design is around RM150-450. Logo Design is around RM100-200 depends on what company, if more complex you can freely add up the price. Since Logo is the core of every company.

There's a reason being why our income in Malaysia is low...

Malaysian clients are not willingly to pay for the value of the designer's / developer's work. Then they will look for cheaper alternatives. And there goes some designers that are willingly to spend their time and effort accommodating the client's price.

Hell, even if using hour rates; the clients here will nego with you after done laugh.gif

Try to productize your service. It's easier to quote that way.
There's a reason why a lot of designers joined MLM. hmm.gif

tough question to answer.. i guess you must first set out your hourly rate.
estimate how much time you need and X hourly rate.

If the figure seems to high then give "discount"

HAHA discount confirm client happy  :hyper:

someone needs to set an average market price (in Malaysia) to be followed so that the market will not be 'ruined' easily? at least people will have an idea of how to charge instead of doing it for free or low price.

Thats extremely cheap. What kind of 3D production are you doing? Logo intro?
When I used to do a lot of 3D animations, 8-10 years ago, the average price is rm24K per minute.

I don't think the market price really change that much over the years.
At least not That drastic.

OMG!! Really?? I don't really think we are able to get this price by now... Too many freelancers offering too cheap!! But that also depends on the complexity though of the 3D video. smile.gif um yes... The last time I did a simple factory walkthrough and I charged Rm30 per second.

Maybe for huge productions for bigger companies is diff.
