Looks like the 6309 reissue is not a hoax after all. Official photos have begun surfacing. Hope someone here will initiate a group purchase lol. Its going to be a long wait to get one due to high demand everywhere.

QUOTE(r3kahsttub @ Nov 19 2015, 10:50 AM) Unlikely that I will buy the 777 if it is priced beyond Rm2k. In the meantime, I pakai my 007 first :-p RRP stated is the same as 007 so we can expect price here to be less than RM 1 K like the sk,007 ? Hopefully lolIf they are selling in Jan 2016 then the seiko factory in JBaru is already assembling them right now. So near. This post has been edited by enviro: Nov 19 2015, 01:31 PM |

A German site mentioned that the 6309 reissue will have titanium carbide ( ceramic ) bezel. Interesting spec.

Ceramic insert like rolex and omega will be expensive so I agree it could be pvd hard face on bezel top. Any type scratch resistant bezel is better than plain aluminium insert though.

QUOTE(ken_jr @ Dec 11 2015, 11:47 AM) I think TS msia raised their margin la.. Instead of 30% , maybe now can get 40%.. Just look at the RRP for their watches now.. The JB shop posted on WUS rm1367 a bit high. I found a local TongSiawarranty set for rm1140. Hopefully arive next week.SG set should be around rm 900 in a few weeks but I can't wait lol. I ordered the 777. |

"Also, dumb question I guess - why release new model in Malaysia first and not Japan or US"
"maybe they're smuggled out from the malaysian factory pricewise very likely scalper's pricing, in line with what was published by some euro site awhile back. the actual retail is still expected to be much lower." The above in mat salleh forum Thanks to you know who, we are now known as crooks even in the watch world lol This post has been edited by enviro: Dec 14 2015, 02:32 PM |

I got my srp777k1 from VIRUSTAR over at garage sale for RM1140.00.
Just received my turtle. Much nicer in the metal than photos. Compared to sumo it wears smaller, lighter and more comfortable. The rubber strap is very soft and dust magnet like silicone. Printed on the strap "seiko z 22" How to tell if silicone? This post has been edited by enviro: Dec 18 2015, 03:57 PM |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Dec 21 2015, 06:08 PM) i handled the 4 turtles today. Tuna silicon strap cost rm700 lol. I have been wearing for a few days and can confirm the new strap is very comfy. The new s.steel keeper is less bulky and even the buckle is a new chunky and solid design. This is definitely a good rubber strap and might explain the small diff in price compared to bracelet models.the bracelet version feels quite heavy. side profile is meh, just like 007 only. the gold one, i was scrutinizing it, and while it looked like the bezel was off-center...looking closer it was actually the whole dial that was off-center...zzz. the rubber strap meanwhile is pretty cool, its similar to the prospex kinetic gmt sardine/tuna/whatever so basically silicone with a metal keeper. oh ya, the indices actually have metal / metal coated plastic surrounds just like the 4r36 monster...pretty nice touch. im now kinda swaying towards the black on rubber...hmmm... |

Only the 777 interest me. The rest have no connection to the original model. Found this review to share with those keen on this model . |

The longer lugs actually make it look similar to 6105-8000. Just need a coin edge bezel and suitable dial and hand set. I am sure someone will do this mod later.
As for alignment he mentioned problem solved. BS my first unit close to perfect but 2 nd unit the 6 o'clock indice closer to 29 min. mark than 31 lol |
