QUOTE(lerijiso @ Sep 26 2016, 11:41 PM) Yup. At rm550+/- brand new for a 4r36 movement that comes with hacking (i dont care) and hand wind (oh yes this is helpful for me becaude i dont have to shake2 every night to keep it running. Have a few quartz to cycle around) so it is quite value for money. Compared to buying a new skx that still runs on an old 7s26a which goes about 800+/-... It seems to me that the srp seiko5 is a much attractive proposition. |

QUOTE(r3kahsttub @ Sep 26 2016, 11:39 PM) I've been thinking of getting rid of a bunch of my Seikos. 007,009 and monster have been unworn for some months now, and I don't even miss them. But then, if I had to consolidate them into one watch, I don't know what I can get for the money. Is alpinist dressy? Any suggestions? More sporty, less dressy option. |

Dunno about you guys, but over this past few weeks of frenzy i had came to a simple conclusion of 2 seiko autos that i can be happy with for some time. A srp mini monster and a snzh modded to fff dial.
Ultimately i'd love to own a planet ocean one day. |

QUOTE(Naka7a @ Oct 6 2016, 11:29 PM) Lol any shorter the watch would slide off my wrist.I'll grab a 20mm zulu some day soon. Anyway it is starting to grow on me, this smaller size gave me that sporty weekender impression while the 009 is suited more for office duty. Looks like the 009 would be flipped away soon. Very soon. |

QUOTE(lerijiso @ Oct 7 2016, 05:59 AM) just very recently. as usual from ebay.yeah. i am flipping it off - the 013 is starting to look good to my eyes. just that the rubber is a tad too long. at first i planned to use the 009 and get the 013 for the wife. but then i thought we can both wear the 013 (not that she likes it anyway, she say it is too bulky) and since i aimed to have an FFF SNZH, i dont see a point of keeping the 009 for now. |

QUOTE(lerijiso @ Oct 7 2016, 10:52 AM) Nice. May I ask how much you got that for? Seller from which country? 480+ with shipping from phillipines - the major hub for refurbed and frankenstein skxs. So far the movement been running fine without deviation, so i dont have to sent it for service so soon like i did for the 009.Also, change to a nato bro. Much more awesome. Stock rubber sucks and its too long for small-wristed guys like us. QUOTE(Everdying @ Oct 7 2016, 11:34 AM) skx013 still looks weird cos of the stunted hour hand. Yes i suspect so. But dial not a concern for me. Well at least the lume dot glows. Unlike that shitty redial on my 009.the second hand of the 007 also still looks more elegant. maybe u should mod the 013 to look like 007 btw, ur 013 is a redial? thought the 'divers 200m' wordings suppose to be red. For the hands i am thinking of dagaz plongeur or yobokies monster hands in future. This post has been edited by andrewhtf: Oct 7 2016, 11:53 PM |

QUOTE(Oyaji @ Oct 8 2016, 06:29 AM) What's the size of your wrist? That looks good on you. On average 6.75". Can go larger and smaller 0.25" depending on the weather and temperature. The 013 still look ok because it is relatively long from lug to lug, unlike the snk809 that would really look small on the wrist although theyre both 38mmMine minus plus is 7 inch. not sure which route to go. smaller than 40mm or larger. It looks small when i compare it to 42mm and when i first just got it. But on its own now i started to appreciate how it looks, so much that i can let the 009 go and wont miss it. For 7 inch wrist i think the 013 still can work. A very subdued and quiet statement. Unless u wanted something that shouts out for attention then u should get something bigger than 42mm |
