Hi guys,

Any place in KL where I can buy Seiko 5 without being cut up like a waterfish?

Am I right to think that these watches have an average lifespan before it dies out? Say like 5 years or so.

Despite its entry level spec & price, Seiko 5 movement is quite robust. 10 years running without any servicing is a norm.

visit Mydin stores to get the idea of its average pricing.

Ceramic insert like rolex and omega will be expensive so I agree it could be pvd hard face on bezel top. Any type scratch resistant bezel is  better than plain aluminium insert though.
*
And the extra bling the ceramic bezel gives thumbup.gif

Although there has been some cases where the ceramic bezel shatters from small impact like dropping the watch waist height

I was previously using Hirsch Buffalo on my Alpinist.

Hirsch increased price quite a bit in recent years but I think you can get under RM200 on ebay.

It looks great imo but not as durable as the cordovan strap I'm using now

and ppl thought 6r15 in shogun was expensive already.
but pity the proprietary lugs... and i still dont understand why seiko cant make it 42mm or so.
plus it looks almost like some kinetic divers seiko has.
i guess only the most diehards of diehard seiko fans will get this.

You can check out Hirsch straps at Red Army Watches outlets.
They have one in One Utama.
