QUOTE(kotmj @ Aug 8 2019, 10:17 PM) So I bought a set of skx007 hands to install in my mini turtle. The mini turtle hands, especially the minute hand on the padi version, look anemic. If you’re around Klang Valley, try to look for Andy at the amcorp mall flea market on weekends.Who can do it for me? It needs to be done on the spot while I wait. |

QUOTE(ckweng @ Aug 9 2019, 12:40 PM) This Andy guy...is he a watchmaker? I'm thinking of restoring rusty hands on my watch (non-Seiko) and looking out for such service. Yup, he’s quite famous. If the work is complicated, I think most people will leave their watches there, otherwise it shouldn’t be any problem. |

My first ever homage. Surprisingly the overall built quality has expected my expectations. NH36, sapphire glass are the plus points.

QUOTE(heyamazingpeople @ Sep 3 2019, 11:29 AM) Sorry, can buy or cannot buy off the shelf? The watch itself, yes you can. But for the mod parts, they’re all aftermarket parts. As for the WR part, you won’t know until you give it a pressure test. Thanks for the great comprehensive info. Does it involve opening the watch body.. Which may affect water proofing? |

QUOTE(heyamazingpeople @ Sep 3 2019, 09:38 PM) thanks.. https://www.namokimods.com/Mind to provide the spoon feed link where to buy them from oversea modder? Local watch repaired? Where to find them? https://www.dlwwatches.com/ https://www.dagazwatch.com/ http://www.uncleseiko.co.uk/ mailto:yobokies@yahoo.com.hk That’s all I can think of. As for watchmen recommendation, I’m not too sure. Been too long since I’ve modded 1. Actually it’s not that difficult to DIY, maybe you can watch a few videos on YouTube to get the rough idea. |

Nice to see gentleman from a watch modder.
After collecting a few watches, I myself learnt a bit in how to mod watches myself. It’s nothing extremely difficult but a lot of focus and concentrations are needed except for the movement part. And of cos don’t get cheap tools, you will regret for the few extra bucks you’ve saved. |
