The SSC is quartz so its abit more robust. Then again, when one needs a tough watch or a clutz... gshock... accept no substitutes
*
A friend dropped an SNK and straight away it stopped working, so I think both is pretty hard to be called tough. It stands to fairly general abuse la if that's all that is required.

Hah : / thought these "field watches" would survive that at least. Thanks for the heads up.
*
Both have moving parts, so it will always be susceptible to bangs and knocks. Quartz would be more robust, but you can't beat G-Shock when it comes to a proper tough watch simply because it has no moving parts and additional protective parts.

My girlfriend going to Japan next month. Worthy to check out the Seikos there? Are the prices there attractive aka affordable enough to cop? Might pick up the SKX007 from there.
*
SKX is much cheaper here.. Yodo is retailing around 1.3k, I'm already looking to to sell for much less than that sweat.gif

Think you might find either one in Pertama. It is safe to buy there, remember to nego. Check the price online and don't pay anything more than whatever you can get online.

Hi fellow members, I have a Seiko Samurai SBD0005 the titanium series diver. Apparently I fell down today and chipped the crystal. Can I know where can I change the crystal and how much wallet damage should I expect? Thanks
*
Thong Sia's your best bet.
