you're not the first to complain about the squeaking scroll wheel of the DA.

for soundcard, i just stick to regular audigy 4.
its good enough for what it does.

sigh...dunno my CH can RMA or not. havent got the time to call AllIT up. hmm...and if RMA, i am still thinking which mouse to get. go back to faulty, low quality razer? or G5 with no onthefly and stiff scroll?
*
answer pretty obvious right tongue.gif
if G5 gonna affect your gameplaying then why bother.

old pic of my 2 former mouses.
chameleon green, and plasma LE.

user posted image

chameleon green was a cool mouse, razer dumb.
they should get rid of acid green, and instead put the green led into the chameleon green.
if they did, i sure buy it, imagine how cool it'll look with green led.

polling rate is basically just how fast windows reads your mouse so the pointer movement is more accurate.
basically lower polling rate, windows read slower, so movement not so fluid.
higher polling rate, higher cpu usage.

i set mine on 500 and dpi 2000 all the time.
i just use the on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment to control.

from my understanding...

dpi is dots per inch, so more dots per inch, the more accurate you can get the pointer on a pixel.
very useful for photoshop ppl etc etc.

the polling rate is how FAST the cpu can read, so the mouse movement transmitted back faster, so more accurate shots etc for FPS.
easiest way ppl test is to draw fast wide circles in photoshop/paint.
higher rate the circle looks smoother and rounder cos the cpu works faster to capture all that motion.

like for razer polling rate got 125, 500 and 1000.
from 125 to 500 i can feel difference, 500 to 1000 not much.
so i just use 500, dont want to tax cpu too much.

QUOTE(wayfeel @ Apr 27 2007, 10:34 PM)
then i came to a booth wher the boss unsealed the DA box n let me see n touch it.

in my mind,i wud only consider DA n krait. the CH is too big n 2k dpi js unecessary for me. at first i really like the DA from image if only it is much smaller irl i'd hv taken it.

i seriously don fancy big mouse .plus the whole rubbery top uhm...myb not for now so ive taken the krait, cus smallest. beside, im new to razer prdt so may as well start from sthg low .
i've been using CH for more than 1 1/2yrs now, and i tried the DA.
DA is actually much wider, i cant perform fingertip control when playing FPS.
for me, krait is too small.
CH also is not that big for me, but its almost right if they made the arch taller and further back.

QUOTE(wayfeel @ Apr 27 2007, 10:34 PM)
after days using it, i really lik it cus i lik whole frontal buttons for clicking n mostly becus its Razer, so the psychology u c. anyway, it says on the fly sensitivity but i seriously dono wthell is it cus there's none on the screen i c thts on the fly setting. so wt the hell i do now? i await ur answer pls ty
on-the-fly you need to install the drivers.
whatever button your on-the-fly is set to, click it, hold it and move the scroll wheel.
you should see a line from 1-10 on the lower right pop up.
this applies to all the razer mouses except for krait.
krait if not mistaken, its fixed to the scroll wheel, so you must click it then move it.

yes, that esreality comparison is a piece of crap.

it doesnt take into account human interaction.
ie. how the mouse feels in your hand etc.

DA, G5, G7 (insert whatever right handed shape) might be a good mouse, but the fact remains is it is not suited to my style of play.

Guys. I need serious help here. Recently i just bought the Razer DeathAdder and used it very happily until my mum saw the mouse and said that the logo was satanic! Can you believe this? The logo with 3 snakes is satanic? She refuses to accept any explanation that i give her so can i have you guys support? Can you post and tell me what does the logo of Razer mean and it has nothing to do with religion...Please do not skip this message because if i dont have any good reasons, i have to say bye bye to my razer mouse in 3 days.
thats why razer mouse has a glow on top.
its the heartbeat of a long lost soul living inside the mouse tongue.gif

now im gonna go stick my razer stickers everywhere, on my guitar, car etc tongue.gif

not neccessaryly , i didn't go for cloth pads becoz they were HUGE. I prefer hard pads..  biggrin.gif
*
where got huge?
everglide gamingmat is same size as exactmat.
im loving my clothpad anyway, will never ever use hardpad anymore.
my mousefeet doesnt wear out, and most importantly my accuracy has increased tongue.gif

Well, I just brought my Tarantula to a Cyber Cafe for a CS match with my friend..
Yeah, it's darn cool, especially the Razer Logo. It's a charm.

The key is nice to press, but one thing, I'm having a hard time of getting used to it..Cause the keyboard was wide, and I was like keep typo...

Press 1, but mana tau I've pressed the aprostophe..
Press 2, but manau tau I've pressed 1 -__-

But nevermind, I'll get used to it very soon.

Overall, a great keyboard. ( With the price I get, yeah! )
*
actually once you get used to it, its better.
like my saitek eclipse, the keys slightly wider apart also.
after awhile, no more pressing the wrong key since got nice space between them.

The 2 buttons on the right though harder to reach,is a nice option to switch DPI on the fly via the mouse. But I believe DA has the option to change any button to On-The-Fly Sensitivity, plus advance features which allow either a single key or macro to do this for you.I just haven't played with the features.Simply put,the 2 buttons on the right though may be relatively hard to reach, might be missed by some.
ahems tongue.gif
this one has been gone thru countless number of times.
as you know CH/DB is symmetrical mouse.
so the 2 buttons on right side are for LEFT HANDERS to use.

razer CEO is a lefty, thats why all razer mouses til the habu and DA are symmetrical so both right and left handers can use.

and i never use DPI switching, i use on-the-fly sensitivity cos much much finer adjustment.
