was using FAT GP batteries (was a pain to remove). disable vibration to save battery life. got the datel play & charge kit from p-a sales

the pros:
1. long charging cable
2. if the battery pack dies, can use cable to "wirefied" the controller

the cons:
1. doesn't fit as snug as the original battery compartment plastic. easy to "ter-eject" by accident
2. the 360 needs to be on at least 6 hrs to fully charge from red to green

Mr. Alby, u mean this article? still dunno y there have been frequent incidents (worldwide) of disk read errors/"dirty disc" errors with perfect, scratch-free ori gamediscs. maybe something to do with the laser calibration of the dvd-rom?

i think only the power supply brick is fried. try using an asian 220v power brick and power on the machine. some gamers are selling a MS asian 220v power brick at the pasar malam thread. a third party manufacturer from china also make a powerbrick which sells at shops.

care to provide some picts? the laptop cooler and external fans running via USB port? thanks

^ wah, really dedicated owner. i do "share" my table fan with the 360. during late nights when the room is actually cooler, the 360 reminds me of a heater. can rub my hand off the exhaust to warm myself up. LoL

not sure if my datel play-n-charge is faulty. for example, i charging the controller battery via USB. i switch off the 360. the fan still running, the power brick still green, the battery indicator still showing red (charging). after 5 minutes, it auto-shutoff. weird? or is this how the official MS play-n-charge acts also?

i see, guess i'll stick to charging via my PC USB for safety purposes. very weird to see the fans working but the 360 in OFF state, LOL

i also considering laptop cooler, its just that when placed horizontally, there are hardly any vents on the bottom 4 corners. its mostly sucking in air from the right grill, correct? if possible cover the right grill with cloth/covers when not in used to reduce dust accumulation.

yes, i rmb seeing ppl's setup (was it judge's or samurai's setup?), lifting it up using a piece of square styrofoam in the middle of a horizontal 360. as long as all the vents/grilles are not blocked, the 360 should be sucking in air from very direction. just make sure the back has ample space so the the hot exhaust has a place to go

wah!! look at the 5-fan setup! power! very smart to draw power from an external source, so can blow on the 360 even while its OFF
