is that really proven? or just simply assumption?

Battery life span is contributed by multiple factors.

The 3 most common cause of battery life shortening are
1. Heat.[1] [3]
2. Keeping at constant high/full charge capacity. [1] [3]
3. Frequently draining the battery from 100 to 1%. [2] [3]

1. and 2. are contributed via leaving it on charger over night.
If one intend to leave it charge overnight, it is advisable to use a slower charger[2] or use a plug timer or power bank that stops once reaches 100%.
What happens when one leaves the phone connected to a charger overnight is the phone will stop charging at 100% but when it drops to 99%, it will begin charging again. Hence maintaining a full capacity charge that relatively shorten a battery life [1]. Also repeated "tap of chargers" at 99% to 100% will have less charging cycles than the charge from 49% to 50% by 3-4x. [3]

Hope it make sense

3. True have to get use to no more keep pressing the back button. What notification icon? Icon so important meh?
4. First time I hear battery bad compared to androids battery leaks. Try turn off background app refresh. For the chats, turn on he notifications. New messages will be received in ur phone via push notification without sucking battery.

Welcome to iOS. U will never wanna go back to android.

I beg to differ. Android will still be my main choice while the ip6 remains secondary phone. I am just turn off by its closed file system which makes file management so darn inconvenient
The only impressive stuff of the ip6s+ is battery life n insanely quick fingerprint recognition. Other stuffs I prefer Android more. And I had used all the ip series except ip5s.
Nevertheless the ip6 is a good phone for users who doesn't need more flexibility from the phone

Hi , may I know  Which android is " better " than ip6s recently ?  Haha

Hey guys, Im using the 6s and s6. previously was using 4s and s4. I would like to share my experience with these phones.
Android phone are generally better in specs. their freedom in OS is like a fire. "Its a good slave but a bad master." Prone to malware that hogs battery, privacy etc etc even when installing only from playstore, android users have to be careful of what they put in their phone. However once optimized well, it can out do the IOS(stock).
IOS on the otherhand, has a well optimized OS and apps that does not need much further optimization, supposedly allowed users to use the phone with ease of mind. (Unfortunately, recent hack of icloud and malware within the official appstores have tarnish this reputation). Because IOS is available in limited device, apps are generally more optimized to perform better in quality and battery consumption.
But if compared to 6S's 1715mAh vs S6 2550mAh, my personal experience, at stock 6s and s6, s6 will initially have better battery life. But as junks get installed more in both device, the 6s retain better battery life than s6. but after optimization of both device (root and jailbreaking) s6's additional raw +48% more battery has gave it better battery life again reaching 2-4 days with mobile data, while the s6 reaches 1-2days (as for now, as the tweaks for ios9 is still limited).

As uncle benny said, i agree that IOS close system is can be annoying even when attempting to perform basic task, eg transfering mp3/ office documents /email. But i have to disagree with the finger print recognition speed as i personally tested both phones... The time it takes to unlock to open an app is actually the same. IOS response to unlocks faster by displaying unlocking animations thus creating an illusion that it unlocks faster.

Camera for S6 blows 6s away is 9/10 situations(partly due to apple decision not to include IOS in 6s). the only advantage of the 6S camera is the FoD and retain of actual colors in the photo.

Apple product at its price is somewhat used by ppl who can. Not sure if true or not for u guys, but Apple does give the "wow" image factor to an iphone user and ppl tend to see apple differently as a phone. And if given a choice, most average ppl would wish to have the 6S over S6.

I'm summary, I recommend the S6 for its hardware and 6S for its software. 6S is easy to learn for all level of users, while S6 can be a lil challenging. In terms of functionality, S6 flexibility allow easier to get task done compared with 6S. At the end, its up to the user's personal preference and usage.
If it still does not make sense to you, just imagine cars, which performs better, automatic or manual?

just my personal opinion and may differ from others.

1 thing I learned with my 3 years using 2 different Sammy flagships: hardware specs means nuts without optimization. Hence apple's reluctant and recent upgrade to 2gb, yet still more fluid than any Sammy phone regardless of its 3gb/4.
But Apple is really hard ass stubborn. I recall how I missed the share links to whatsapp feature in android when convert to Apple. But things are looking good now with Apple start releasing API for sharing data between apps.
Sometimes we need android there to keep Apple to loosen up its system locks.
The truth cannot be said the other way round. See how Apple influenced android to be less flexible? Where is sd ram now? Removable battery? Remember how Sammy keep coming up with ads to mock Apple on these features? Really a shame they swsllowing their own words.

Because i only used Samsung S4, S6 and Xiaomi Mi4i (and iphone 4S and 6S), i cannot comment on other android phone. But I do agree with you that hardware means nuts without optimization. Hence if one does not want to go thru the fuss of optimizing device, I always recommend an Iphone but warn of paying the price for its optimized OS.

I would like to add on that Samsung and Apple has always been copying each other. These 2 companies have been repeatedly suing each other for patent infringement since 2011.(or maybe much earlier?)
Mocking Samsung dropping the battery and ext memory is the same as mocking Apple for abandoning their proclaimed perfect single phone size of 4/4s size and later copying Samsung's S and Note series sizes at 2014. Its okay to swallow own words as people do make mistakes and subsequently improve in the future.
As the saying "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new." ALBERT EINSTEIN

Now whats interesting is, Samsung has always been avoiding direct competition (by offering alternate specs like bigger screen, removable battery, ext sd, stylus pen) with apple. Until 2014 where, Apple made the decision to take on Samsung flagship head on by matching its phone sizes at 2014. Subsequently Samsung on the other hand have discontinued their laptop products to divert resources into their mobile dept. Instead of avoiding direct competition again, off goes the removable battery and ext memory Samsung did. It would be really interesting to watch the romance between these 2 companies in the future.

As for myself, im Neutral of both sides. I use the Iphone 6S and Samsung S6 concurrently. These facts i state above is to share my understanding, and not intended to offend any iphone/samsung fans. If i do, i apologize in advance.

Hello I recently got an iphone 6s

So I was wondering everytime when I receive whatsapp msges.. The screen would show the messages.. By any chance can I disable this?

The settings is in Whatsapp app itself.
Open whatsapp\ Settings\ Notifications \ Show preview switch it off.

the result will be the whatsapp notification will show the sender but not the content of the message.

is that what you wanted?
