QUOTE(kaspersky-fan @ Nov 3 2015, 09:38 AM) Lol yeah. Do you think for ip7, they're gonna stinge on ram again? 😁 6s just out here for 2 weeks, already speaking about ip7. My hardcore Apple fanboy who upgrade ip every year also holding horses this time waiting for ip7. He said ridiciulous increase in Price doesn't justify the upgrade.

QUOTE(kaspersky-fan @ Nov 3 2015, 09:23 AM) Part of the reason why it is a good start to get 128gb sets. I think overall the 6s series is nicely future proofed for at least a few years down the road with higher ram and faster storage, two main components including with increased gpu at same res. Curious to see what's on the table for ip7 though. Damn future proof. Their iOS 9.1 still supporting ip4s. That is 5 year old product!!! I am still waiting for excuse to upgrade my company 4s phone. Same cannot be said with Sammy products. Max I give 2 years b4 firmware updates are totally forgotten.

http://iphone.appleinsider.com/articles/15...016-source-saysIf this is true, it will be a short life span for 6s. Should have done this long ago instead of every year racing to launch b4 Christmas for certain countries.

QUOTE(attw @ Nov 5 2015, 08:08 AM) I honestly don't see this happening though. Apple's not crazy enough to do a Sony and have a so-called flagship launch every 6 months. Read the site properly, it says to being forward he launching of ip7, not about launching more phones. Wise move if to meet year end sales target

QUOTE(attw @ Nov 5 2015, 12:19 PM) Yea, I know, I just don't see them having a new launch within the next 6 months or so given that they're still enjoying brisk sales of the 6S. Well, who knows, maybe if sales start to drop then we could get a surprise during WWDC... I hope so. If they really go the shotgun sales method of Sammy, I am the first to go. But then it will be suicide as it will be havoc for their iOS programmers to maintain support of so many hardware version. They every year pride themselves in the adoption rate of new iOS and the frequent updates. I don't think they will shoot their own feet and be come segmented OS like android. Today just pride themselves by announcing two thirds already on the latest iOS. Won't achieve that if so many version of hardware. They even stopped selling the 'c' models. QUOTE(sunyen @ Nov 5 2015, 04:41 PM) after years following Apple rumours sites, appleinsider is the least reliable site when comes to rumours. They basically rojak every rumours they can scourge online and make up some extra to post on their site. Typical examples are like this post, it was originally posted by 9to5mac yesterday on the reliable KGI analysis of 4" 6c early 2016 and usual September after ios10 iPhone 7 release predictions. Then they throw in their typical fashion "sources familiar with the matter" unknown people they know of to jazz up the article today to create a more linkbaity article. Even without the article, common sense can tell you iPhone 6s though looks similar to last year model is nothing alike in term of hardware..from the new aluminium body, screen, display logic, sensor, processor, network chips, RAM, camera etc. Even the thickness is different. Only the "look" is the same. That's why they use the cheesy tag line "The only thing that is changed is everything". Compared to a much smaller volume of production like SONY or HTC, it's impossible for Apple to introduce new high volume manufacturing and tooling equipments within 6 months for another flagship phone. If you've subscribed to Apple related podcasts, you ll know how strained it is for Apple engineers even with the current 1-year cycle to optimise not just hardware but both software and hardware whenever releasing a new phone. The level of integration and optimisation between hardware and software for an iPhone is crazy. That's why the first iOS version releases are always buggy. Most reliable sources at the moment are Mark Gurman and KGI Thanks for sharing. Very informative info. This also I got to know from apple insider, but I go direct to the source this time, thanks to ur advice. https://blog.lookout.com/blog/2015/11/04/tr...dware/#commentsIn summary, Trojan targets android popular apps like candy crush. Once infected, reset factory option also cannot remove Trojan. They are getting smarter...

QUOTE(Gilthoniel @ Nov 8 2015, 02:35 AM) Yes happened to me once before. Had to call Apple when I was in Machines service centre because they did not want to honour my warranty. What's the point of having a service centre if you can't do nuts? Wah!! So many victims. Happened to me as well. Machines claim I go open the internal and modified the component on a 2 week old phone. Battery loose inside. Rejected my claim. Never bought any gadget from them again. Luckily I bought online and Apple Singapore overwrote machine decision. Ask me send back again and they "talked" to machine to proceed with warranty claims edit a damn bad review in their machines service center fb site. End up saw many similar bad reviews. QUOTE(silencer5089 @ Nov 8 2015, 08:16 AM) Same experience with switch in Penang. Only one word can say for our service centers here- selfish. Because they only care about the money earned but not the customer service. I hope Apple seriously consider opening up a retail store in Malaysia. U slowly wish. Even Singapore just going to get their first Apple owned retail shop. All those while have online shop only. Resellers mah. Sure care about profit only. Product not theirs. And they had to pay a premium to use Apple logo. Trash it kao kao la.

QUOTE(Gilthoniel @ Nov 8 2015, 08:51 AM) They accused you of that? That's crazy. I'd have spoken with their manager immediately and demand an apology It's a waste of our time going to and fro service centres for something so simple that should have been settled easily That was my wife kena accused. The next day I went there and made a scene and banged table. Also wrote nasty review in their fb site. Unsurprisingly when I went to their site, already many terrible reviews. In the end Apple online overwrote their decision, nothing they can say. Thankfully I bought direct from Apple.
