Just finished true detective s2.
I like it. Storyline quite good with 4 main characters in it.. I give it 8.5/10..

show is like semi-fictionalised biography of many gangsta rapper-turned entrepeneurs.

such as suge knight/puff daddy/dr dre.

(too many parallels with suge knight IMO, but still no lawsuit against the producers).

there's a reason the recent 'straight outta compton' movie got blockbuster status at the usa box office too...

but funnily enough they had terrence howard (rhodey from 1st iron man movie) as luscious lyon when he can't rap or sing...

can wiki or google the show more.

the show has good storylines and even has original songs done by the cast, all music produced by timbaland...

i think priyanka chopra's overrated in this show.

anyway i'm biased towards the 'twins' character, nimah and raina who represent the arab-american FBI agents...

the last ship season 2 ep 12 is sooooo gooding yo!
thought the oil rig explosion in ep 11 was intense enough with so many characters killed off, but ep 12 is much much better
especially final battle scene between that brit submarine and murica destroyer ship
pure michael bay stuff

The Last Kingdom is really good.

if u like historical fiction series u will like Last Kingdom

im a fan coz i read d books

recent series that were able to make me binged watching and finished in just a few short days:
1. unreal - abt what happened behind the scenes of a dating reality show (think:the bachelor), so damn funny
2. how to get away with murder S1, very very good storyline
3. silicon valley


note: i'm not into superheroes, stuffs from comic books, anything abt zombies

i never believe in cliffhangers especially when it comes to death, unless the actor/actress involve is not coming back to the series, due to contract dispute (read:money) or they got bored already playing that character
among the notable character deaths but later came back alive
sherlock...already buried (or so we thot)
david clarke in revenge...died in prison, but 3 seasons later...ehhh actually not dead, imprisoned in secret location and severely tortured?
sara in prison break...decapitated, head in the box
bobby in dallas...all are mimpi only..whole season are mimpi...dafuq?

This morning just watch half of E01 TWD. so confusing with the flashback. Gonna finish it tonite.

Its like unfair right? We are damn bored for half a year then all the good series coming in a bunch! Why dont they just split it like half year this half year that. Then no need to fight for rating liao. huhuhu.

that's always the schedule lah, for network stations at least, cable like hbo amc tnt etc and network streaming service like netflix not so...they can premier their new/returning series anytime they want

september to april/may - fall series, some got winter break, some not...usually 24 eps
may to september - summer series...usually 12,13 eps

it's akin to asking why lah all gooding2 US blockbuster movies all come in june, july
rest of the year (except maybe around christmas) very sampah movies only
why not they spread it all year round

it's all about business baby
