talk is simple. reality is you might only receive the sms notification all at once after you left the place. not every time one will receive the sms alert on the spot. also, many times it's really a failed transaction and nothing for them to reprint.

I paid the merchant by cash eventually..that charged txn amount will be deduct from ur total limit initially, after 1 week I noticed that it add back to total limit and didn't charged in my online unbill transaction

yes, exactly. that's how it works and being solved. someone who never faced this before but keep want to argue with those who faced this for thousand times lol.

double charge most of the time being done not on purpose by the cashier and it's not recorded in their system yet when it fails. you may argue with the cashier but there's nothing for them to reprint since it's not through yet. it may go through or fail later on, maybe 5 minutes or 10 minutes later.

i do received failed transaction sms, not always failed transaction will go through as double charge later on, if you re-swipe again. i received the below only after 5 minutes. for hlb double charge transaction sms, 10 minutes later.

as i said earlier, once they do their checking/audit later on, they will claim back those transactions that they have forgotten/missed earlier. checking can be weekly/monthly, while audit could be much later before they do their submission to ssm.

one thing that i would like to highlight to you is that they are able to charge you even though they lost their slip or if you did not sign your slip. there are many instances that the cashier forgotten to collect back the slip after i signed whereby i also have mistakenly took and kept it with me. but it's still be posted in my statement later on, just that it's posted slightly later (depending on their checking time).

but it's up to you to fight over it and the bank's discretion to judge on it. most of the times the user will not fight over it because they indeed used the card there. if the user fight over it, the case may be investigated further (whether you lost your card or your card was duplicated or someone stole your card or etc) because there's already an approval code with your cc details that you have used your card there which you can't deny it. so to avoid the case becoming more complicated, it's advisable to just pay it off. of course, it will be a different case if you have already cancelled your card before the merchant trying to charge that lost amount to you. smile.gif

Still, you can't deny the fact that you never check properly and track your spending, which lead to this problem.
A lot of people are getting "double" transaction daily but why not much people ended up like you? Is because they call CS and make all the necessary steps to prevent this.

yes, once your cc is being transacted, you are liable to it. even without the slip, they still have the right to charge you. if you can't prove that you lost your card or your card has been duplicated, you will have to pay for it. if you don't believe, you may try not to return the slip and still seeing that amount charged into your statement.

it's not they don't do settlement daily. it's just that they will do a weekly/monthly checking and claim on those transactions which has been missed.

what is it to do with check properly and track spending? shakehead.gif

if i don't call the cs, do you think i will know the easiest way to solve this issue is just to fill in the form and let the bank to handle for you? doh.gif

you said that's the worst case, so? you can't even be firm in your words. but i can tell you firmly that a cashier don't have to pay for a lost slip. especially if he's a probation staff on his first mistake.

i think i can conclude that counter 11 having a 50%:50% spoilt cc terminal. i transacted 6 times today with the first 2 times at counter 11 and it was declined twice. the cashier showed me the terminal stating the word declined. after the first declined, i tried with the same cc again and it went through without double transaction. then the second time it declined again and tried again, ended up with double transaction. then i changed to other 2 counters for the other 4 times and all went through smoothly without having any issue whatsoever.

i broke my personal record of swiping cc (non-online transaction) for 25 times in a day. lol... mainly is 11 times on my hlb wise, 12 times on my another hlb wise, 1 time aeon watami, 1 time mbb2amex.

all my 23 times hlb wise swipe was at tesco and aeon big. i went to 6 different cashiers but still need to swipe average 4 times per cashier. all cashiers also show me funny face lol...
