Hey, if you want to fire it at low power while using Nichrome or Kanthal, just change it to 'Joules' mode. The D2 will be able to step down then and fire at low power.

How do you know that the airflow is smaller?

I don't think so. Look at the barrel around the deck. Its larger on the V2, almost like the Goliath V2 size. In the V1, the coil & cotton took up a lot of space leaving little room for airflow in the small barrel. A fatter barrel will allow more air through. Just my observation though.

Hi and welcome. Didn't want you to feel left out. Looks like all the pricey mod users are not on today, just us who use normal China mods. Lol. Anyway if you wanna get a DNA200 mod it would be better to buy from a shop that gives good warranty. I've come across a number of complaints of failed DNA200 mods on other forums. Vaporshark might be a better bet. At least they've done the settings for casing temperature. Some other DNA200 mods have not.
As for the MuteX V4, China cloners have slapped the Mutation name on a lot of different RDAs. Previously the MX V4 was a clone of the Yep RDA. Now its a clone of something else. Which one are you asking about?

Just treat joule as watts. There won't be TC if you're using Nichrome or Kanthal so you set it at 450F or anything.

Lolololol! You're using the IPV D2 right? Just change to Joule Mode, select Ti.
I'm firing Kanthal, Nichrome and 316L in that mode. Works in my V2 & V3 IPV D2. Works in all D2s.

Let your mod and atty cool down to room temperature, then press the 'up' and 'down' button together. It will then show the set resistance. You've never used the D2 in TC mode? Always have to set resistance for new coil.

You don't need to set/lock the resistance in Power mode.

Well you wanted to fire your mod at lower watts. Switching to Joule mode enables you to do that.
You can increase it to 450F and turn up the Joule. I'm currently firing my 316L single coil at 33J/450F.

Yes its supposed to cut off at the temperature you set. But TC works only with Nickel/Titanium on the D2 now.
I'm just experimenting with 316L Stainless Steel wire in TC mode.

Nope. Nothing to watch out for. Just up or down the Joule to what you prefer.

No worries with Kanthal/Nichrome/SS wires. But if you dry burn or overheat Nickel or Titanium it'll release toxic fumes or something!

A lot of people don't get it. With a regulated mod, you don't need to build that low. Can just turn the power up.
Try more wraps to make it above 0.6ohm.

Yo man, I'm banging my head against the wall when it comes to my Goliath V2. It has juice control for high VG juices. I'm using 60vg/40pg. Turn too high it floods, too low I burn the wick.

Large barrel around the deck - able to fit dual 3.5mm ID coils. Using 2.5mm ID coils, theres too much air from air holes on deck - killing flavor. Switched to 2.5mm ID Claptons and fluffed the cotton up reduce airflow in chamber. Improved flavor somewhat but I still can't get the right balance. Crap.

UD Bellus out already and I'm gonna get it. Has a large chamber as well. Hope it'll be easier to get it right.
From the pix, the upcoming Zephyrus 2 also has the larger chamber.

I had the Smok M65. Worst mod I ever owned. The other Smok mods are no better with plenty of complaints. From auto firing to TC that didn't work. Even their latest Koopor is crap. Poor battery life, dead after two months bla bla. I am aware of the Treebox but I'll pass.

You can buy Samsung 25R Green locally quite cheaply. Around RM 20 - 25. VE has them.

From your Velocity pics I see your coil is lower than the air slot. Try raising your coil. Getting airflow from below and the side of the coil might improve flavor.

I don't know what mod you're using or your vaping watts range. 20amp batts is a safe bet. The 20amp batts thats common here is the LG HE2, LG HE4 & Samsung 25R. Bear in mind the LG HE2 & HE4 and Samsung 25R R2(blue) were first released in 2013.
The Samsung 25R R5(green) is the latest. I bought 2 from VE and its good. The other batt you can use is the new LG HG2 (3000mah). Alexng on Shopee sells them for RM24. I bought a few from him.

The flavor RDAs like Magma, Freakshow etc has airflow from under the coil. For my RDAs with side airslots, I usually raise the coil to get a little airflow from under the coil. You can try it to see if it increases the flavor.
