BR - Made Suarez... (or the other way round..) with more than £250 mil worth of transfer kitty spent over 3 season +

I don't understand the logic.

Rafa won CL and FA cup, and once was in title race and finishing second as well, with 80+ points. (a point tally that normally can win the league, just rival simply too good), and made Anfield a fortress and a force in Europe stage, reaching a 2nd CL final after winning the CL.
Yet, so many critics on him, not top manager etc.

While BR just because of Suarez sizzling form that finish second, which won nothing and fail miserably in Europe stage, but many praise on him, and is a "top manager"?

Possession football, tiki taka, character football, changing formation from 4 to 3 defender intermediately, false no 9, winger become fullback, midfielder become CB, no need defensive coach, you named it, really memorable.
