yo bros. i wanted to buy the evercool fox-1 system exhaust. but i have a setup like this in the pic. i wonder if it will improve the system cooling, or will it ruin it (the air flow) as both the evercool exhaust and zalman fs-V7 (it doesnt exhaust the hot air, hence increasing the overall casing heat sweat.gif) are sucking cool air around them. will there be any air flow conflicts? thanks sifus. notworthy.gif

if the exhaust system suck out more cool air then the Zalman fan would suffer of lower cooling performance....

what doom say is
if the exhaust fan pulled the air intaked fro the front straight to the back
then the VGA will be starve of fresh air to circulate around the fins of the v700 HSF

my setup aim to suck the air near the Zalman HSF
in order for fresh (coooler) air to come...

Lol I have the Evercool Fox-1 system fan, and I put it just beside my Zalman VF-700. I would recommend to put as close to your graphic card fan because, it will need to suck out the heat produced by your graphic card. This system fan is suitable to cool down cards in the PCI slot area as there are no fans around there.

now i got it smile.gif

but,one question, doesnt the fan also produce air flow that will blow the fins?

i think the exhaust could suck out the hot air produce near the fin and then the area around the zalman will be cool again.no trap heat will occur.

am i correct? sweat.gif

Pull air perform poor as compared to blowing air ....

therefore by using exhaust system it will perform poorer on VGA area .. .....

unless the VGA cooler perform well itself........

but what i know, the heat will transfer from hot area to cool area (like pressure from high to low).

so,if we suck the air near the fin mean cool the area, then the heat produce from the GC will flow to the cool area and the GC will become cool.this process will repeat along the GC running.

my opinion, better suck air near the GC smile.gif

i have added a similar fan at the back of the casing behind some PCI slots like mcchin. to suck out hot air from the casing produced by the zalman v700. but the fan is a lil noisy, and i only tape it using double sided tape. hahah..

mxxuang: may i know wat's ur load/idle temp before and after putting the evercool fox-1?? readings will prove everything...hahah...cant just imagine. btw, one more thing, is the fox-1 noisy?

It's not that we are senior members or not...
It's because u've been asking such very simple questions here and there...

And some other forumers here even think that u can simply get that answer by u're own thinking...

Comeon, grow up...
None of us here says that it's wrong to ask anything, but some simple things doesn't need to be asked if you can find the answer by just doing some simple thinking...

And about that blaming, i'm not blaming anyone, u've misread it, i said, i'm saying the right thing while that "guy" says that i'm saying the wrong thing...

I'm not blaming...

Got that? shakehead.gif

@ SpikeTwo :

for testing....how about u just put 1 x normal 80mm fan below the zalman fan there that pull the air down away from it...and another 1 x normal fan pulling the air from side.. (open case condition)..

see how ur gpu temp will be...this setting is quite the same to simulate how's the fox-1 will perform later inside ur rig..

worth it....or not worth it tongue.gif

then we can know wheather pulling the air away from the gpu fan or push air towards it that will give the result more better tongue.gif

just helping through here biggrin.gif
