lol the slightly plum malay guy is it? he's a nice chap, explained everything that I'm about to explain to you now
yup, no difference also in the car, but you won't understand your car well. the only throwback is the remote, and I believe what he meant is that the remote's transmitter module is analog, I think. about the settings, the XB control also can adjust various trims, but the higher end remote controllers that you see will have more features and more tunability i.e. ABS, different profiles that can be saved, etc. most of the tuning you do on the remote only involves the servo and ESC. if lets say you want to adjust your toe, camber, suspension geometry all of course must do by hand and this is where knowing your car VERY well comes in handy |

what the problem and what's the type? if it's like those GuangDong or ZhenShou or any other weird chinese named brands then might as well just get new one.. and rarely does a problem occur to a battery and it's minor, if got problem most probably mean out of commision already..
Tamiya don't have rights to any D1 cars, only Yokomo got. Instead, Tamiya has rights to road racing cars, rally cars and street cars. So, for Yokomo, it will be Hobby Haven in Subang. |

nono, you can get any bodyshell you want, all you have to do is drill a hole for the stubs that hold the bodyshell if they're not already there. so far the only custom bodyshell makers in the market I know are from ABC Hobby, they have Estimas, trucks, Honda Civics, and all the other funny cars la

Naka7a, try to check other forums or Lelong for used TT01s. Not interested in other chassis'? I think I got someone who is selling their TA04, Yokomo CGM and Yokomo SSG. Read up on the specs and let me know if you're interested.
Smartech can also, just change tyre, stiffer springs and add bearings (if got) and can already |

correction, it's TA03, CGM and TT01. I'm asking for you now, will let you know later. as it is the TT01 looks mad hopped up (upgraded) and may be more expensive than retail stock TT01 price. TA03 also hopped up but cheap since it's old chassis. Don't ask me about Yokomo

No dude, Malacca's RC and real car drifting scene quite strong, infact in another forum there's even a clan called MLK-D and they usually drift at an apartment called Ixora or something, you should join them, and the TA03 seller is also in Malacca

small only, about 4-5 members. I guess you're in MMU then, so you can easily join them for drifting already

2nd hand TT01 just fine, but if a 2nd hand complex car like the ones I'm looking for you also might be trouble, since it might be so hopped up you don't know what the hell's going on

naka7a, I have a friend who's selling his ready to run TT01 with lots of extras, a basic controller and battery. about RM800, let me know if you're interested, and if it's out of your budget I can offer to buy off the hop up parts from the car to lower the final cost
the controller is a Sanwa Blazer, receiver and servo is included, Mabuchi sport tuned motor, battery is 3800mah, total hop up parts about RM150 so if you're interested you can get it all for RM650 only This post has been edited by andy: Dec 22 2006, 07:26 PM |

Don't forget you need to buy the bearings, short springs and a better motor (at least sport tuned) alongside a battery and charger
