what is your budget?  brows.gif
first you need a starter car..are you interested in touring or drifting?
touring is normal racing and drifting is well, drifting.  biggrin.gif
rc that uses fuel usually uses nitro instead of gasoline
http://www.rctech.net/forum/nitro-road-3/
try to look here
I also malas to search  laugh.gif

thanks alot bro thumbup.gif
maybe I should get a spoiled RC car to start with smile.gif

edit: ahh nvm, found that I can actually buy the parts separately. But do you guys have any recommendation for shops that sell rc parts? eg cheaper...etc laugh.gif

the usual recommendations are HSP flying fish and vantex/mantex
but remember this is a poisonous world, you might get sucked in to get better chassis later brows.gif brows.gif

try to ask here,
http://www.facebook.com/groups/d110rc/

i am still quite new so i dont know the technique and rules of touring but your usual drift car can be used for touring but I dont know about the chassis tuning, haha
different kind of racing needs different type of setup so you might want a separate chassis blush.gif
and there is also CS mods for advanced drift later where the rear tyre spins faster than the front.I dont know if it is suitable for touring

Hi there,

i hooked up in rc drifting lately, been rc drifting since last year Dec. almost one year..

for those who just started, try not to get hsp/mantex/vantex, eventually you will fixing/repair your car more than you playing with it. if you have budget, you can try to get 2nd hand branded chassis from those trade/sales sites like mudah.my/rctech

i seen alot of RC drift enthusiasts quit this hobby due to above reasons, however some of them continue playing and end up throw the mantex/vantex chassis and get a branded chassis (spent double of the money & time just to get on track).

If you really have no budget or you not sure you will venture into this hobby then you can get vantex/mentex and play with it BUT try not to upgrade anything from it, trust me It is not worth your money and when you think you are serious about this hobby, save money and get a good chassis then upgrade that chassis from there.

for my own experience, I bought a 2nd hand RTR set (yokomo chassis) and started with it. Slowly I upgrade my car parts by parts and eventually I changed the whole thing, from remote, esc+motor to chassis. Now im using street jam R3R chassis (super chassis and never regret)

Anyway, I’m a regular in MOD Drift track. If anyone of you interested to drop by, can PM me for location. It’s one of the best drift track in KL/Cheras area and most of the Pro/godlike RC Drifters are brew there, most of the champions are playing there. So it’s worth your time to drop by and have a look or play.
