QUOTE(Nuzzary @ Nov 29 2015, 12:51 PM) Felt that it doesn't need trouble tap to wake.. 6p have glance / ambient screen. Can read notification without even waking the phone.. And If you really want to unlock just use the fingerprint. I rather have double tap to wake. The time taken to get ambient display to wake up can easily be used to wake up the device with a double tap on screenThe glance / ambient screen is really helpful QUOTE(s2000c @ Nov 29 2015, 02:09 PM) Manual settings gives much more control over on how you want the shot to be. I still rather have manual controlsThis post has been edited by remix2040: Nov 29 2015, 02:43 PM |

I dont have any problem to wakeup and unlock the phone..the finger print scanner is blazingly fast.
But i'm still finding a way to turn off and lock the phone without pressing the power button. It seems all the screen off widget that i used before doesnt work with nexus imprint. It will ask to enter pin/pattern when woke up with fingerprint. |

Have anyone tested non compliant usb A to type-c cable? I know Uncle Benny has been using it with no issues and I decided to try it. Using a normal htc m8 (not fast charger) with tronsmart usb A to type-c cable (2.0). Finally killed the cable after 3 full charges. The charger is still alive and so is my phone. Just thought of share this with you all.

QUOTE(remix2040 @ Nov 29 2015, 02:41 PM) I rather have double tap to wake. The time taken to get ambient display to wake up can easily be used to wake up the device with a double tap on screen When AmbientDisplay work, it's super useful. For example, when I pull phone out from pocket, it's at lock screen already. Issue is, there's time when phone doesnt move or have no notification ( laying on desk ? ), I used to tap/shake furiously so AmbientDisplay kick in, but too much trouble, so now I just use d2tw Manual settings gives much more control over on how you want the shot to be. I still rather have manual controls |

I did have a colleague who uses Nexus 6 and he had difficulties showing me the ambient display to me by lifting the phones up from table. |

QUOTE(cruzzmz @ Nov 28 2015, 09:49 PM) i hope they will throw some free goodies with it. and hopefully my side project developing android app for an agency can cover it. i should have revisited android app development long time ago, i do not know it's so much easier now to develop an android app, all the design libraries are provided by google so you can make beautiful app with minimal effort. after finish this side project i will develop some apps to gain further knowledge, i'm very much interested in developing location aware/activity recognition kind of app since i want to automate my phone settings based on situation/location. |

QUOTE(remix2040 @ Nov 29 2015, 11:29 PM) it has nothing to do with permission. With the new permission api, devs need to setup extra rules which might takes more time instead. He meant the google library which is Material design. It's a library or consider it as a theme store, generally all you need to do is to pick the colors etc and with very minimal effort, your app will look incredibly professional with sleek animations. This is all done by Google. This post has been edited by NubPro: Nov 30 2015, 12:59 AM |

Just thought of share this with you all. I don't use those lower rate charger but a specific alternative 3A charger. HTC chargers are reported to be problematic. The original charger is 3A outputAs for car charger I use Aukey qualcom fast charger too n plug in the fast charger port and not the normal charging port Don't ever try use on cheap powerbank but good powerbank with CE rating I had zero problems till now using the non complaint cable. I suggest those who wish to buy type A to type C cable get those complaint types. I was lucky my non complaint cable work well - I bought these during the One Plus Two days My cable is brandless n.I checked the compatibility using the app checkr. Anyway I had been using this cable daily past 10+ days . If incompatible fully either charger or cable will get broken within hours of use This post has been edited by benny888: Nov 30 2015, 05:54 AM |

QUOTE(NubPro @ Nov 30 2015, 12:58 AM) it has nothing to do with permission. I am talking about the permission in which the app requires to run. The newer lines are a lot easier to pick up and start. Of course I'm no full time app developer. So I don't delve deep into it. I still do some. The Disa framework was suggested by me to be borned and bred by Xamarin. I refined their lines but of course due to Xamarin's Java nature, Disa takes a lot of memory. Been looking to solve it ever since the Alpha. No luck apparently. Yes I know he meant by the material design palette. Google states that you may follow the guidelines set by them BUT it is not necessary to follow. You can build your own MD color palette and still get your app posted on the GPS. Google supposedly have strict rules about their MD color palette. However, Google is very strict with the layout of the app. A lot of requirements set by them. |
