Eh Vmall.my page took down liao? How you guys see the RM2698 for 64gb? That's a really good price considering other non-US prices are more expensive.
*
Ya, just took down. It was there for 2 color, RM2698 biggrin.gif
I did put in email, but it's not pre-order or booking or so, just email notification.

Yet mate S selling the same price, don't know what to say. Shall i say Mate S overprice or 6P too cheap? They can easily sell 6p from 2899-2999.
*
Dont care Mate S, 6P a bit over price but then that's thanks to our weak ringgit. USD549 ( 64GB ). Last year that price just slightly over 1.8K.

Compare like this, USD650 Nexus 6 cost me 2.6K last year, USD550 6P cost more this year sweat.gif

The giving away Chromecast deal is similar to what they are doing in India. They give away Chromecast 1 (which is still very good).

And how come I don't get that email announcing date of sale? sad.gif

I got notification email saying I am subscribed only, that's all.

And now page is gone again. zzz.
*
Same, I got the plain normal email reply only.

yeah.. those people are not idiots for creating the whole detail pages and then taking it down due to "no people buy high end gadgets".. pftttttt

That's standard procedure for hype in tech world now, almost all tech company did that except Apple. Briefly upload promo pics, then take down. Put up device page than took down. Tweet unreleased device spec, then take down.

QUOTE(digitheatre @ Nov 25 2015, 11:02 AM)
yes.. the original pics shows more noise on S6.. clearly the ISO is higher hence more grainy just to make the lowlight photo looks brighter

6P photo less grainy, sharper but abit darker than S6

Do you mind to upload full size photos ? Cant see much in small thumbnail biggrin.gif

Hands down 6P wins, better details and retaining color. ( 6+ the banner hung outside shoplot windows become grey sweat.gif )

QUOTE(benny888 @ Nov 26 2015, 06:58 AM)
The V10 display is even better under bright sunlight
Which display is better or nicer depends on one perception of colors. Personally I had never like SAmoled as I find it still too overly bright n fake. SAmoled lovers will debate over this. So to answer the forumer question most would say Note5 is the best but I prefer V10 personally
Iphone camera quality was only good in its early years till ip4. After ip5 to ip6s there is seriously nothing great to shout about though Tim Cook will tell you otherwise
I rarely use even my ip6s+ to take photos solely because of great inconvenience to copy n share it out. Ip closed file system is a great deterrence

For me it's dilemma, LG superior IPS are always good, but I get used to Ambient Display which works best with AMOLED screen.

Seriously? That's gonna be a big hit to them.

The last time I used AdAway, it wiped both my system and data lol. When I reboot my phone after it tells me blocking of the ad files is successful, my phone booted into recovery and tells me I have no OS installed. Lost all my data. Pissed as f*ck. Never used it again. I used MinMinGuard ever since that. lol
*
$5 per month. I understand they have bills to pay but that's a bit too much for what we use.

in regards to adblockers... i don't use any... coz it's the way the developer wants to be rewarded for his/ her effort.

Non intrusion ads are fine, I don't like those that will pop up every screen and will load up the browser etc icon_idea.gif
*
Actually I dont mind ads, like youtube's. However websites one are headache, it drag down page load time and introduce lagness. It's so much difference between ads and blocked.

IINM those ads rely on you to click on it and perhaps purchase it, Google/backend track it ( similar as to many youtube reviewers earn money, via unique purchase link back to their account ). Most tech-centric people dont bother click or distracted/attracted by those ads.

Do u guys feel the phone getting warm after let's say 15 minutes of use.. Like browsing WhatsApp etc?
*
One question to you, is it first time using full metal body or metal frame phone ? Coz those type are easily warmer than plastic phones, due to metal body/frame act as heat dissipate medium. My N6 are warmer than N5 or even famous N4 sweat.gif

ElementalX, not sure if it's best, but sure it's most popular.

I think he's super good and enthusiast, but sometime we dont need 5GHz OC machine, but just need a slick MB. That's why some prefer elementalX, I almost never had issue with that kernel.

HuaWei Mate 8 looks very attractive and enticing
I always had very good experiences with HuaWei ( mate 6.1, X1, Mate 7 and latest P8 Max). Just don't understand why so many users get turn off by HW branding - just because is China designed/ made product? HW are now  ( since 3 years back) is the  world 3rd largest smartphone manufacturer . They don't achieved this status making lousy products
I was glad Google took them as their Nexus 6P manufacturer
My only issue with HW is their M'sian models are very horribly slow in providing firmware updates. Their China and Euro versions would have got 4-5 updates while M'sian sets only one ! So I always flash their latest Euro versions as alternative

They change my perception with Mate 7. If I wasnt Nexus fans, and not iphone-copy-cat UI hater, I would be getting Mate 7 that time.

QUOTE(stormlcc @ Nov 27 2015, 10:29 AM)
the problem with most Chinese brands are not their hardware, it's their stupid software and janky UI (including HW).  the 6P provides what HW is good at and ditches what it's bad and replaced with a UI and software experience we like, it's the best combination of both worlds
*
Huawei is not 'most Chinese brand'. Their ability to develop own processor/SoC and Google partnership shows they are not your typical china brand.

UI thing, cant do much now, as those kind of UI are super popular at their home ground - China. That's why almost all china brand's UI are more or less iOS-inspired. I'm fine with beautiful UI, but god-damn-it give me app launcher!

Everybody wants to buy. But when it comes to paying, semua orang hilang LOL
Risky shipping? You might not receive the package at all. You might receive the package damaged. You might receive the package intact. So it's sort of a 50-50 chance hahaa

QUOTE(Jay Chua CC @ Nov 27 2015, 04:42 PM)
Omg. SO when you usually buy skins, you choose the 62$ shipping? First time buying skin here. I chose the 11$.
*
Been using their risky shipping for few orders already, all no issue. I believe even with issue ( missing, broken etc ), you can contact them for that. So far my impression with US based popular dealer, they are responsive and good.

There's once I order a genuine leather strap for camera, didnt receive it after 3 weeks ( they quoted 3 weeks shipping time ), email them and they sent out another parcel one two days later. Then I receive the original parcel few days after the replacement parcel sent out sweat.gif So I got 2 strap ( one completely free ).

Come in one piece or not? or damaged?  biggrin.gif Usually the risky shipping takes how long to reach Malaysia. After reach malaysia which courier company take over to deliver?
You used both slick and dbrand before? Which better in quality?
*
Cantik nice high quality envelope. Inside, the skin are wrap with hard plastic to make sure skin are not folded or damage. Usually around 3 weeks ( some faster some late a bit ).
Risky as in it was send with envelope, like normal letter, similar to some parcel send via ebay ( China based ) seller.

Used both, both recommended. dbrand always pride themselves as highest precision ( IMO it's almost ).
dbrand : customization ( different parts different color or combination )
slickwraps : material option ( glow in dark, themed, wood etc )

Personally prefer dbrand as you may customize different looks even with different material.
