I have sold my Croesus Retail Trust and moved-on,... but I now have this idea :-

1) I buy back at 1.195.
2) I take my dividend of 0.0406.
2) I sell away at 1.195 again on August 28th... rugi the brokerage.

Hmm,... that's what I thought too as in the above. If failed takeover, the properties are still intact, no prb, right ?? Haha,... many of my SG pals will want this to fail,...

I sold earlier because of two reasons :-

1) I thought the divvy policy would have stopped when all this takeover talks started,... and they drag and drag, just like how some developers in Malaysia drag their purchasers forever and not finish their homes and shoplots, and not surrender the properties too,... but looks like the SG way of doing things is not like that.

2) I wanted to capture PLife REIT,...

So now, with both the above objectives having been made positive, there is no harm buying back.

BUT,................ what other risks ????????

Added the following, All possibe scenarios :-

1) If the takeover passes, I will lose $1.195 - $1.170 = $0.025 from this event. But I have already earned $0.0406 dividend.

2) If the takeover fails, and the price tanks badly, I will load-up more because the properties are still intact. Posted above too.

3) IF the counter gets suspended after the SIAS mtg, then we all 'die together' !!! NO movement, no divvy payouts, nothing anymore !

I'm still trying to stop the buyout,... I can buy again later if this ctr recovers,... We and many SG investors still wished to have this in our/their portfolios too,...

The above means even if an expiry is not up yet, a tenant in Japan can go through a judicial process to break the tenancy and renegotiate another rental amt to be paid IF conditions chg somewhere,... this is surprising,...

So, all those WALE - Weighted Average Lease to Expiry measurements are not truely that strong anymore,... rental stability is not really that foolproof even tough there is a long tenancy signed-up.

Bro,... if this bid is voted down, everything will be reset ! Cyrus Bidco can bid again if they wished to, or another co. can bid too.

But if this bid passes, then those 'Permitted Dividends' clauses will kick-in,... and yes, we will get a final unfair divvy payout plus the buyover price of $1.17 per unit, which can also be reduced if everything is finalised AFTER October 31st....

If voted down, no problem anymore for this buyout exercise,... with such terms, we should not vote YES,... it's our choice,...
