Unless they have a pipeline from the mid east to China, its cheaper to transport by sea than overland from the mid east.

If I am researching, the above FA is not enough to make a decision. Need to do more analysis on the followings :

1. Revenue for the last 3 years
2. Profit for the last 3 years
3. Cashflow for the last 3 years
4. Understand their business
5. Management projection/outlook of the financials
6. Current asset vs current liability
7. Borrowing / interest service
8. Company expansion plan / prospect of current and new business
9. Who are the management of the company and their background
10. Who are the major shareholders
11. Share price of the last 52 weeks and 5 years relative to their financial performance
12. PE ratio
13. Market cap
14. Daily trading volume recently
15. No. of shares in public hands
16. Dividend yield and sustainability
17. Research from brokers (if any) and if the company is under their radar

I always give the benefit of a doubt to the market. If the market doesn't see the company as attractive, it will be reflected in the price.

My quick 10 minutes glance at the above data for the company does not attract me. Do let us know about your further research and who knows you found a gem ?

There are lots of gems, even in the Msian mkt. However, the owners do not know how to market their company.
one of my friend does this with his uncle. Spot these companies. Go to see them and interview. Buys into them compnies.
Help them to market them to the fund managers. Price flies..

It's ok, you can learn. 2 of my children is not from finance background, but they now can analyze and find stock counters to invest

Learn the tricks of fishing. Instead of asking for fish. An old saying, but very true

I am sure many others here are willing to give guides to you too  thumbup.gif

You are a good teacher.

I am trying very hard to teach my 21 yr old son and 17 yr old daughter about early investing.

Ya, with analysts and brokerage recommending, the stock will attract attention. And the funds will look at it. Then only have activities.

I saw Valuetronics brokerage recommendation late 2015. Only 0.3xx. I remember I put the link here. Now fly to 0.7xx. Almost 100%

This Vicplas has no brokerage and analyst attention at all. Price flat for the past 5 years. Revenue down. Business uncertain.

Maybe Ramjade is the gem spotter ?  thumbup.gif

Have been telling them how investment works since they are 12 and 7. Now in their 20s. They saw market boom and burst when they are still studying

Not all my children are interested to learn though....the other only know untie level property knowledge. Since FD interest is so low where he lives he has very little choice but property  biggrin.gif  I don't force him as he can make a good living from his profession. Don't kacau me for money I am happy liao biggrin.gif

Wah....Lii Hen, Latitude tree, VS still riding high. Some a few hundred % over the last few years  thumbup.gif

But I must say when I follow the brokerage recommendation, more often than not the companies do not perform as expected. But even if 1fly, that one will made up more than enough the under-performed companies

It's like out of 10, only 2-3 are good recommendation. The others so-so or lose money. But the 2-3 really fly and the overall gain is good

They had ONE main reason.......these companies had 70% or more exports income in USD!

Guys, I have done a crazy thing. Over the last 2 weeks until today, I have disposed of 99% of all my holdings. Kept only a few lots of each counter in my trading account only  biggrin.gif

Don't ask me why. I don't know why  rclxub.gif

Shifting my funds into some capital guaranteed bank structured products now....lower return though...

I felt like I am crazy  laugh.gif  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

Yeah, perhaps,... but the height of the tension/excitement will be the Sabana REIT EGM on Friday,... Its be good to see what the other shareholders ask on Monday,.. mostly would be institutional shareholders,...

Going down for AGM,.. and then some meet-ups, banking errands,.. transfer out things,...tidy-up some things,.. surely there will be some things to handle,...

Did you buy 100 Sabana shares? laugh.gif

Since I have only indulge in SREITs where dividends are not subject to tax, what about non SREITs?

Are their dividends single tier and not subjected to personal taxes?

Did a fast holding share holding

Blackrock 6.47%

Vanguard 8.93%

Blackrock's total holdings through their various funds, etc is lesser than Vanguard's.

Blackrock's holding is quite small of the total as you can see. If they are to buy out the other share holders, they will certainly have to offer a lucrative price.

O my miss. biggrin.gif

That makes it all the more interesting since Blackrock and Vanguard are not small players.

Yeah

Now we will see whether the major shareholders will accept the offer.
I would wager that the first offer is often never accepted.
