Ramjade.. my CIMB already 1.5 months.. I still hv not receive the secure device and password. they say sending.. but i hv not got it. however my friend who open same time with me.. already got hers.. so, for my side maybe technical glitch.

Really got the 1% interest banked in at end of month. For temporary parking is good... and use FAST transfer money between banks is immediate.
*
I received mine very fast. Mine dapat all. One of my family member only got security token. 3 weeks already. No login details.

How you check get 1% when yoi have no password?

Better call them and request to resend.

Technology Sector Led Market Gains in April & YTD

I thinking of getting SILVERLAKE AXIS - div yield 5%
http://www.silverlakeaxis.com/about-us/company-overview.html

. or SUNRIGHT. (low yield)
any comments?
i am still holding UMS & AVITECH...
*
Silverlake is ok. But income in RM doh.gif That's why hesistant to add. Main client ocbc. If main client cabut, they die.

But it was mentioned banks usually won't cabut cause it's very hard for them to transfer to other company. Since won't cabut, very hard for them for them to find new customer sad.gif

Don't quite understand why DBS system has different functions even selecting same options....  rclxub.gif

For my case, I log in via iBanking then I switch to DBSV by clicking on the trading account #.  Upon further scrutiny, I found that when I select "Inter Acc Trsf" option, it is not auto tagged from "Cash Account" to "Cash Upfront Acc" (though it appeared to be at first).  There are actually three options i.e. "Cash Account", "Cash Upfront Account" and "Security Deposit" on both "From" and "To".

Ram shared that he only have two options instead of the three options that I had.
*
The screenshot I showed was of cash account. Cash upfront account will have option to transfer to cash upfront. s of now, I am still unable to transfer.

so buying or not?

macam got potential

If Singtel, memang I buy. Reason:
1) strong balance sheet
2) diversified income -one of their income come from indon operator Telkomsel. Telkomsel profit margin is 32% (even apple also cannot give that kind of profit margin) and singtel owns 35% of telkomsel. devil.gif

hi all sifu wat trading company good for buying sgx?? best rates?? im using hlebroking now. sry im newbie for sgx
*
People here all use sg brokerage. Only one person here uses cimb.
If you are collecting dividends and your amount is small, better use SG brokerage as malaysian brokerage will eat up your dividend.
If your amount big, does not really matter sg or malaysian broker.

If you trade a lot, can consider Interactive broker.

For me, I am more long term and I don't like malaysian broker eating my returns so I went with SG broker. Pay trading commission only. Nothing else.

Keong hong, no debts but follow construction cycle.

i hv been monitoring KIT.
price actually shoot up after EX DIV....
*
If can get at 8% yield maybe I consider. But it's expected. SG govt increase electricity and water tariff so of course KIT will benefit.

For oil palm, not so interested. Cause indons aren't known for sustainable oil palm management. If I were to choose oil palm producer, I think I will pick United plantaions (the one in perak).

There was an article written about it in the star long long time ago. The management care for their workers.

Income is derive from IDR. If I want IDR, better I choose the proven reit, First Reit as it's more defensive than oil palm producer.

OCBC news...

anybody topping up OCBC recently?
*
Nah. I am not going to chase. If DBS CEO sold his shares, you know that bank stocks are overvalued.

I missed my chance when ocbc was at 9.xx. Dbs hit 178.5x few times and I didn't do anything. So won't add.

Banks are cyclical stocks. Opportunity will come. All it needs is more 0&G and shipping companies in SG to default.

Right now hibernate/go into SG UT.

If I want to buy US ETF (buy and hold for long term), which will be a better choice, SG brokerage or fundsupermart? Currently I'm using MKE, which charges S$2/month. Is there any other charges other than this?

Btw I'm interested in Oil ETF, any recommendation of books/passage/blog on how to evaluate a ETF?
*
Use standard chartered sg if you can manage to open an account with them (it's very hard but there could be branches which still accept malaysians)
If cannot, just use a US based broker. If you trade frequently, use Interactive broker.

If you want low cost, no commission, no research try robinhood/8 securities.
The cheapest option optionhouse, tradeking, charles schwab at about USD4+/transaction. Whether they accept malaysians is another story. That you need to contact customer service and ask.

which brokerage are u using now ? dbsV or Maybank KE ?
*
DBS V because I am buying for long term (I am holding) and right now, it cost only SGD5/trade.

After june, will switch to maybank KE and make use of the SGD10 promo. Already set up my KE. Now going to try apply for maybank mcep + maybank usd foreign currency account. No fall below fee biggrin.gif if use mcep to apply. Going to post them my application on monday.
