The extended 7 year warranty is quite useful. Much better than the 3+2 warranty that covered by insurance company.
I claimed below stuff without issue:
- turbo unit + manifold
- Aircon compressor + condenser
- Oil filter housing
Except the turbo need wait for HQ approval, the rest can be settle within one day

Can share your experience in claiming these? e.g. how long did it take? which SC did you go to?

255 each speed sensor, of that's the problem. Usually change 2 units. Price from bros autocare.

totally agree ... this year is my 5th year owning my 408T ..

and it is still strong yo!

Sometime i share my opinion with my friend who own a mini R56 ..
most of them advice replace the stock Blow Off diverter valve
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

and the Turbo Intake Hose
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

this 2 items is most frequently failed one ..

that why i look for alternative .. minor mod for Blow Off diverter valve = GFB DV+
for turbo intake hose, i still studying and research ..
*
My 408T is currently running ok. Going into 6th year soon.
I'm going to do some preventive maintenance, 8k budget, any advise what I can do?

Should I do anything about the ac compressor, condensor, cooling coil? They have been replaced 2 years ago. But now ok.

If you are fine with present comfort level, then perhaps MC6 is a better choice for you.

As GY Exl are softer compound tyres, comfort level is improved, but the trade off is high speed stability. This sounds drastic, but its only marginal, you got to pay intense attention to catch this. I did take the car up to 180kmh. Beyond 150kmh there is slight instability. Not much, but nevertheless, its there. But as i said ,its marginal, most ppl may not even notice it.
*
Good feedback sky. Are you using the same specs, e.g. 225/45 GY ex? How much is it? I might give it a try.

I am using PS4, seems to last for years if I only do city driving. I paid 500++, maybe 550 each, can't remember now. I guess cost wise might be negligible if use for years?

Hi sifus. has anyone here ever claim for front windscreen under Etiqa? My coverage is 2k. Is it sufficient enough to cover the glass and tint?

My car is 6 years already. I don’t think I need the original replacement. It’s far more pricey. Anyways, the non original one cost how much ya? Appreciate with the feedbacks

Tq
*
Windscreen costs about RM3k (can't recall the exact figure), depending on your tint as well. One important thing i learnt is that if you claim x amount this year for the first time for your car, you have set the benchmark for future, meaning you can't claim more even if you pay more premium or go with another insurance company.

I did my lining at Amazing Autoart as well in march this year. Rm400, 3-4 hours. There was a cafe a few roads away, can relax there while waiting.

On another note, I have not done my recall for compressor and condenser for my 408T. My ac works fine now, is it advisable to do the recall? Any reliable SC in KL/PJ?

Thanks

I'm in the same boat. Compressor, condenser + HPFP on mine still not claimed cos my originals are working fine.

I'm of the firm believe, if it ain't broken dont fix it! Early this year did the timing chain recall. Nothing wrong with my old chain, was working fine! Now sometimes when I start, especially cold starts, I can hear chain hitting it's guide for about a second or two!
*
This is what I'm afraid of. If you don't mind, which SC did you go for the recall claim?

Tks for your feedback bro. I too intend to change to higher profile tyres. I was lookin at 55 profile, but this would affect handling. I feel 50 profile is just right as affect on handling will be only slight.

What is your feedback on handling? Do you find body roll on fast corners? Or is negiable that you hardly feel it!
*
I feel handling is still good, but with caveat: I used to push corners with Michelin ps4, but my new tyres are now Goodtrip, still soft tyres but I don't push corners so hard anymore. Considerably now I still take my corners fast from time to time, I don't feel any body roll. I guess those stock stabilizers are still good.

High speed on plus up to 150kph is steady.

I think 50 is just nice, no need to go for 55.

anyone change their tire profile from 225/45r17 to 215/45r17 ?
both size tire price different quite alot .. wondering it is worth to downgrade or not ..
80% city driving anyway .. nowadays cant cross state so is 100% city ..
*
I changed from PS4 to Goodtrip, not much difference in grip. Of course not much driving during MCO days but now i have driven all the way from KL to Kedah. I just have not been taking those sharp corners at high speed nowadays.

If you're looking for cheap and good, this could be it. I for one for rm295, about more than a year ago.

Thanks.

Here is the link. No problem after using more than a year. Taobao official shipping is a lot more user friendly now compared with years ago. https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09...._u=r37pl8sb7b0e

I remember Stabilus original boot strut cost around RM 50-60. I don't bother to use original since the item is extremely easy to access and replace.

Edit: Only problem is the strut is a bit too strong for the first few months.

Thanks so much for the link bro
