Update: got my 408 turbo checked by Kajang/Sg Chua SC. apparently, it is high pressure fuel pump faulty. now under extended warranty, so need to claim from Tune Ins. SC said out of 20 cases maybe only 3 approved because they need flawless service records. Mine should get approval as I have good records. Anyway, I tell them to proceed n not wait for approval. I will pay first. Hopefully they will follow through with the claim.
Should I tell them to check the water pump or other things mentioned here?

High pressure fuel pump issue haven't solve yet? The fuel pump manufacture by Bosch? How much it cost? Hw to prevent it from getting faulty?

Attached pic how the HPFP look like....

Hi guys. Just curious. Our car has how many fuel pumps?

Is there 1 in the fuel-tank?
*
HPFP cost Rm1500 outside......

1set with turbo kit cost Rm5500 frm German.

No oem HPFP available in the market

Similar issue found in Mini Cooper R56 which HPFP fault....

Not every car gets the same part enhancement. I just check with one of the SC. They say my car only temperature sensor. Apparently they key in your car registration and from the system they will tell you which part the will enhance.

So does that mean my water pump and other parts are ok? I thought if enhance, means all car get the same parts since production of the car is same mah....

Can some one verify?
*
Previously Temp Sensor issue solve by adding additional sensor by SC....
Hmmm. Mine Water pump. No idea about High Pressure Fuel Pump.

1-recall HDR : replace solenoid oil pump (Looks like new problem)
3-recall HDS 408 : check timing chain( EP6CDTM still having Timing chain issue? )
4-recall HBV 408 : replace electric pump(Looks like new problem)

Well....I also have no idea what is going on. The SC just told me that they check in system, my car only getting the temperature sensor as part of the enhancement program. They didnt say any other items.

So does that mean my pumps and timing chain no issue? I dont get how does it work  rclxub.gif

Mine is a 2014 Griffe.
*
I just send an email to clic...let wait n see how they reply regarding the enhancement

I will just tow my car to Glenmarie. It was my 5th towing last week, the problem reoccur each time after Glenmarie returned my car, normally after run about 100 or 200KM, the temperature will shoot up back. So I told them I have no choice other than tow in my car to them even-though they are busy.

Either head gasket or head crack will cause this prob....open your engine oil cap n see the inner part of the cap whether have any white bubble of foam type....

What is the mileage to check timing chain?

Wow.. This group is quite active.. Cool!

I am now.seriously considering purchasing a 3008. But can only afford a used one, model year 2010-2012 (which is in my budget).

Will test drive a few maybe this weekend. Hopefully my 3008 used car purchase will be good to me and my pocket. Haha.

Anything for me to lookout for when inspecting the 3008? Any tips?

Thanks.

I bought used 408 Turbo.....so far so good.....worth for money.
Still can claim warranty....
Becareful with some used car which used to adjust the mileage.......

One month into getting a used 408 (3.5 years), A/C is blowing hot air already.
Went to external pug workshop, was quoted around 3k for compressor+condenser. He says it's important to change condenser together with compressor. Is this true?

Decided to go to Glenmarie to claim extended warranty, was told that I needed to get original owner's signature. Otherwise I would have to pay 5k upfront.

I didn't expect it to happen so soon sad.gif
*
Go to other aircond shop....the compressor can be repair by changing the internal bearing.... unless compressor fully damaged internally.......not necessary to change the condensor unless no maintenance done before...."changing compressor oil"
What is the mileage
