SC called up and "recommend" me to change the aircon filter and flush the coolant. Charging me Rm90+
Which I rejected their "recommendation".

I would rather send to aircond shop to do so

Not sure what you can get locally but searching with part number gives me alot of result from multiple brands globally.

Hi guys, quick question. Any tyre recommendations for 1.6turbo version?
I'm on a budget at the moment, didn't realize the thread until service time, so didn't budgeted for tyre change

If your dont plan to remap, it wont be called Stage 1. Just plug-n-play.

Go for Supercircuit. Its abit pricey, but then it has serve me well for 4yrs already. No issue. No CEL on install. But when you data log, you will see a error code on the sensor. It is normal because the O2 is reading wrongly. But it wont trigger CEL because is small issue. Go Supercircuit. Is about 1k plus if i recall correctly back then. Now i dont know.

You will feel slightly better respond as your turbo now can spool faster due to better breathing downpipe. WHP and WNM will increase slightly....about 4whp and 13wnm (in my case back then, different car may produce different results).....But u can definitely feel the difference....Much more than u feel with an intake or drop-in filter.....

mind to share how much cost for the down pipe and remap ?

50hp gain brings it to 213hp. That brings it at par with most 2liter engines on the road which is impressive!

Speaking of ECU remaps, what other mods can the 408T do?

Also, curious question. Vaguely remember this from college. If the exhaust/downpipe is modded to be without the catalytic converter...doesn't it effect the emissions of the car? Or is it only minor...or is it combined with something else. Also...would you need to apply for such a mod from JPJ?

Finally...I remember discussing this ages ago: Doesn't the cat converter provide some sort of back-pressure? Or is that why the ECU needs to be remapped to account for that. I'm guessing this mod only works for cars with ECUs that can be flashed.

Discussion for the sake of technical knowledge since I don't think I'd bother with doing any of those things

Regarding the emission, is there a significant amount of smoke? Or just the smell? JPJ isn't for any upgrading...it's for the emissions change. But if not visible, I don't think anyone would be the wiser, especially if the car looks stock.

How responsive does the car feel now? Vroom vroommmmm?
