What is the total contact hours for each subjects? Also, usually the pre-barring list will be announced before the last week of class. Just make sure you have your justification.

I count from my timetable, it shows that have 42 hours in this semester

i think the university's hostel is quite nice, they had just been renovated if im not mistaken.

otherwise, the arc and cyberia is what most students usually stay because its near. the arc just finished build around a year ago while cyberia is quite already quite old but u can still find a nice room there. budget is almost the same for cyberia and the arc. 300-400 for small room. 500-600 for middle room and 600-750 for master room. around 5 min walk from mmu.

I stayed in mmu hostel , it is really quite nice , but is pretty damn hot here , plus the weather recently , other than that i think is ok

Hi, April intake 2016 here, how to calculate the attendance?
Actually I'll be away from this Friday to next Thursday, which means I'll be missing 3 class of Essential English.
That's one week of classes. Just now I asked the lecturer and she said she can't accept it because I can only miss 2 classes or else you will be barred.

There are 7 weeks in this trimester. I'll be missing 1 week that means my attendance will be 6/7 which is still above 80%. Why did she not allow it

I'm assuming 2 classes per week so 14 in total for the semester. You said you will be missing 3 classes so you're left with 11 out of 14 which will be below 80%. If three per week, you do the maths. As long as at the end of the semester, if it is 80% or above, no one has reason to bar you.

It's all about the risk you're willing to take that is all.

Its 3 classes per week for this subject (Essential English). So 7×3=21 class total in this semester for this subject. I'll be missing 3 so 18/21 that's ~85%.

Pls correct me if I am wrong a not before I go argue with her this Wednesday agn

Edit: if this isn't going to work out, a >RM 1000 of plane ticket will loss

anyone got experience appealing for supplementary? send in my letter of appeal last friday, until today no news. the sup paper date is on Thursday.

I've never asked for permission to not come to lectures. Lol. It's neither school nor work. As long as you can ensure your attendance % will meet the requirement, no one minds. Let alone going to meet the lecturer and start and argument over it. Later from being under the radar, you will be on top of the watch list.

Just remember to check the academic calendar properly before you plan your next holiday in the future.

Lol MMU must've done a really good job with the renovations. Previously no one would expect to see this sort of comment about the hostels.

Asus with an i5 or i7 plus 8GB memory and 1TB disk space would be good enough to handle the load from gaming, programming, Netflix, and so on so forth until you graduate?

if my cgpa for last semester is 1.6 but for this semester its around 1.8 while my gpa for this semester is around 3.2. will i still be terminated from my study? because my gpa is improving but its hard to increase the cgpa..

i need someone to explain wth is this and why is it being implemented.
