What are the things that you would like to know more about MMU?
*
Hi, thanks for replying.
1) Is the Computer Science program offers in MMU worth it comparing to other UNIs?

2)How many percentage of Chinese students in MMU?

3) Is it hard to find a parking lot if I drive to MMU (Cyberjaya)?

1. Of course laugh.gif I may be bias, so best for you to check out the other threads at the education section. There are many similar threads asking about CS.

2. I don't have the numbers, but majority are.

3. No idea about Cyberjaya campus. Parking complaints usually from Melaka campus biggrin.gif

May I know does intakes makes differences?
Why is that people unrecommend to go for November intake instead of July intake?
Please refer to reply#1417 &#1419 if you have no idea what I'm talking about.

In general, July is the main (aka normal) intake and will follow the long-long-short trimester schedule. November intake will be long-short-long while April intake will be short-long-long. Some courses will have certain conditions imposed by the faculty/MQA/etc for final year projects and internship. For me, as long as you follow the schedule set by the faculty, it is fine. Others may find practically an issue.

1) Very subjective depends on who you ask. Nonetheless, the options you provided are all well-recognized. (MMU grad here). BTW, not easy to enroll into UTP if you are non-bumi. The numbers of Chinese intake i very very little compare to other options. (close friend of a UTP grad)

2) Majority. But my piece of advice : don't just mix around with Chinese. Expand your social circle.

3) The only thing you will find it hard to find in Cyberjaya is pork/non-halal food.

Thanks for your advice tho. thumbup.gif
1) So, in your opinion, which UNI would you recommend to go for? OR could you sort out like XXX > XXXX > xxx.

2) I'll not just mixing aroung with Chinese, I wanted to improve my English communicating skill too.

3) It's not necessary for me to eat pork actually. I can also go out of Cyberjaya to get some non-halal foods. Ya, so that's not a problem if the parking lot and traffic there is OK. sweat.gif

1) MMU/UTAR > TARC > UTP (UTP not becoz it is worse than the rest, simply the difficulty to get in. If you could, it is same par with MMU/UTAR if not better)

2) No worries. Plenty of Chinese out there don't speak Mandarin as well.

3) Seldom heard of ppl complain about parking for Cyberjaya campus. Unless the authority start giving summons for those who park by the roads lol. parking is an issue in Malacca campus.

Edit: for accommodation, Cyberjaya is less convenient compare to Malacca campus. Unless you stay outside of Cyberjaya area, traffic shouldn't be a problem. BTW, from my understanding, UTP is worse than MMU cyberjaya in terms of location and convenient. They are like in middle of nowhere? not sure the area has been developed since my friend graduated 10 years ago lol

Malacca campus is located near shoplots and housing areas. most ppl can just walk to campus. and walk out for lunch/dinner after class.

Cyberjaya campus you need to drive most of the time.

Actually parking is still a problem if u park inside mmu melaka… some ignornant people will park at places that block the road (since they don't need to walk that far) , I strongly avoid parking inside mmu melaka except during the night , ep triangle is a better choice after all

If you check mmu confession u will often see this situation (but u can't see any now for sure, coronavirus )

Below is solely based on my own personal experience , take it with a grain of salt. It may not be a full representation of all November intake , bear that in mind

yeah quite shocking when we enter the class, IT faculites are booming but not in minor intake haha
the lecture even though we enter the wrong class since its weird have any new student at this time
most of the class, over 40 people (tutorial class) and the lecture already know each other well from the last semester
this let me think of the scene in Anime where a new trasfer student enters the class sweat.gif really awkard

They build the car park twice ! it better be good ! the first time it was so uneven when I rains it become a mini swimming pool , took them some time to rectify this issue

Actually it is only for people that bought parking sticker with MMU , others are not allowed to park there , often there is a MMU security guard that check it when u go in

Not much a problem for me since I park inside EP , I occasionally go out late durng night for supper or laundry, if I park at EP triangle quite suffering if it rains …
