Student Affairs Division (STAD) in collaboration with Students' Representative Council (SRC) had launched the Dress Code Campaign at both Melaka and Cyberjaya campuses to create awareness regarding proper attires while in campus among students.
Among the dress code that needs to be highlighted are as follows:
1. Shorts.
Under the General Discipline of Students Section 29©:
No student shall wear shorts or hot pants or Bermuda shorts within the University.
2. Sleeveless clothing.
Under the General Discipline of Students Section 29(a):
No student shall wear blouses, t-shirts, singlet, tank tops or any clothing which bares the shoulders and armpits and/or belly, within the University.
3. Mini-skirts
Under the General Discipline of Students Section 29(e):
No student shall wear skirts that reveal the knees within the University.
4. Transparent, body hugging and hanging clothing
Under the General Discipline of Students Section 29.4©:
No student shall wear any revealing or transparent clothing within the University.
5. Slippers.
Under the General Discipline of Students Section 29.4(h):
No student shall wear slippers or flip-flops in all academic and administration buildings at all times.
Under the General Discipline of Students Section 29, it is stated:
All students shall observe the dress code guidelines issued by the University from time to time during official interactions and activities within the University premises. Any student who fails to comply with the dress code guidelines shall be forbidden from entering the University premises.
You may refer with the attached dress code picture and your cooperation to adhere to the campus dress code is highly appreciated.

if you dunno all this, then it difficult for you during your 1st sem already. If you were to ask senior like me on how to see place, i will straight answer you "Orientation they didn't teach or u didn't go?"
Next is on rules n regulation, although during my time u still can wear slipper to class and it not reinforced strictly. Now you must wear shoes or u kena saman by security guard. $$$ fly
Plus if you are alone, then it the place n time to meet new friends who might in the same course as you. No lone ranger, if you lone ranger, then u might have problem mixing with others when class start as u dont have anyone in common to talk to and asigment
This is the advice i give to every junior that enter,
Score your cgpa as high as possible during your 1st n 2nd year if u want maintain your cgpa. Iu start low, it will be very hard to pull up. 1st n 2nd year subject are still simple, take advantage and score
3rd n 4th, if you have, the subject can be very hard till u just want to pass. Tat time your cgpa will drop. To counter this, get high cgpa 1st to compensate the drop

Chill! the only punishment OC would give would be singing permata dunia and doing some warm up exercise if you are caught wearing jeans and slippers during the morning spot check, colored hair will depend on the enforcement of security this year (on discretion).
My advice is to buy more black long pants cause during orientation as they will conduct games and activity that may require you to move about and sit on the floor. Padini and Jusco Selection sell cheap apparels.
Ladies try not to wear high heels as a lot of walking around will be done during the orientation or unless you want to plow the MMU main field then have fun doing so, short heels or shoes would be the best.
i am attaching here the FAMOUS MMU DRESSCODE policy (http://vlib.mmu.edu.my/library/dress_code.php), those seniors prior to 2010 enjoyed the privilege to wear slipper and shorts to class and library but not anymore starting from 2011 MMU DRESSCODE policy has been enforced.
During Registration you will be guided to collect your student ID, Letter offer and one special bag from the Orientation Kit Unit (OKU) that contains the orientation schedule, mmu rules and regulation booklet, mmu course outline, if you are lucky this year you get to own a blue mmu jersey, mmu batik, notepad and pen that will come with your special bag in either blue,red,green or orange color.
Yes dear you are going to study in a Higher Education Tertiary so Stationary & Notebook will be required, and since MMU is a Technological advance university that offers online notes which requires you to print (please bring printer with extra ink refill) and bring the notes to class, DO NOT BRING YOUR IPAD around as some lecturer do not like you playing with your IPAD in class.
Students are to bring extra food, clothing, movies, dvd, computers, printers, pillow, bolster, bed sheet, mattress, toiletries, stationary, deodorant, perfume, make up, shoes, heels and most important is money for food, shopping and entertainment purposes that your OC will explain.
I am worried about your level of writing and speaking in English, law lecturers are very strict as teachings and exams are all conducted in English.
oh and have fun!
note : Buaya OC and Buaya Freshie are always around during orientation.

TOP TIP : DO not CHOOSE GROUND FLOOR for hostels in Emerald Park or Ixora Apartments, there is a tendency for students to throw the rubbish down to the middle air well and the rubbish might hit your clothes that you put up for drying or worst still the rubbish will enter the windows near the air well . For Ixora Apartments, the tenants will fill up bottle of 5.5 liters and throw it down the love lane sits between the girls block and the guys block in the middle of the night or in the wee hours in the morning to create a firework BANG sound effect on the Zinc Roofing.

MMU TOP TIP:
Every year we have to rush for subject registration, seniors are given priority to register first then later to the juniors, we do not get what we want always so try to work within the system.
The registration period vary from course to course, so take note when you can register your subjects online, for those whom have already made enemies this is the time to choose a different tutorial group and those whom wanna stick with their pals choose the same tutorial group.
IF you are a lazy bump: Register your next schedule to avoid at all cost the dreadful 8am monday classes and friday classes
IF you are a Text book nerd: Register your schedule first and choose all the classes you want to take for the next semester and if you can take extra subject and yes go ahead to camp at the student point or library
IF you are a chillax/i got the time person: Don't bother to even go the website and register manually by looking for lecturers for the autograph
Take note for Coco subjects and Elective subjects are always packed, so if you wish to take it quickly register for it first.

Final Exam Top Tip :

Facts and Tips. Tips are important but not all tips are useful, make sure you get the remember the right facts from each chapter and cases.
Past year question. Chances are MMU lecturer's will some sort or some how recycle the question from previous years, so head to vlib portal and download some of the past year question to pratice.
Exam Venue. Some students have a tendency to photostat or scan the whole textbook or notes into their memory (brain) and then writing out the same during the exams, take note some lecturer's will fail the student due to lack of creativity and understanding on the subject matter or question.
Stationary. I was a law student, we use to carry in stacks of statues and acts to the exam venue, ensure you have your exam slip, id, writing tools and calculator or statues, lending items in the exam hall can be mistaken as cheating.
