Hai, my sister thinking to study in UNISEL, is it good choice doing deg. Economics in UNISEL?

How about dress code in class is it formal or there is any criteria that student must follow?

And what the main language usually student use to English or BM or Rojak?

There are so many universities in Malaysia.
Keep the options on.
Since you are going to spend your money, then spend it wisely.
What Harvin6 is correct, if you are for study then you just go on.

hi,this is my 1st post and i need all the help i can get..i have done some research and 'googling' on my own, however any reply will be most helpful..

I'm a student considering to enter UNISEL or MSU for TESL diploma. I would like to ask for some advice. what are the situations, managements for example with the TESL course and the overall university? I have to choose between studying TESL at UNISEL or MSU, so I need information regarding these institutions. I would really appreciate a reply. Thank you.

As one TESL Grad from Unisel, I need to ask, are you taking diploma or Degree. We have quite strong Degree program. But i'm not sure about the diploma program since it started on my last semester in Unisel. nway, i believe if the same lecturer still there, u shouldnt be worried.
The lecturer will be harsh on you, pushing you to the limt. buried you in coursework, pop quiz every now and then, a lot of presentation to help you built confidence for the future. They will teach you how to be a great teacher. In my exp, the lecturer is always approachable eventhough they seem unfriendly. Just remember, not to skip class, do your coursework and you will be just fine.

the environment,
tesl program is held in the main campus. our faculty is the 2nd largest after engineering. spacious classroom with aircond. tongue.gif .It is far from the city. So no distraction. if you want to go out from the campus, there is hourly bus that u can take. finance department is lead by org2 muka ketat and a bit sombong but since you only have to deal with them once or twice each semester, it shouldnt be a problem. Hostel rent is about rm 200 per month. if you manage to secure a room, it will be advantageous. but if you not, there is housing areas nearby. it just around 10 minutes walk. but no need to worry if you active in club and student undergraduates club for faculty. Food is OK. but there is kitchen is the hostel( u need to bring multicooker). During my time, eat at the faculty since the food is cheaper and there is a lot of variety. We have a big library, and also there is small library in the faculty itself. there you can see a lot of work done by your senior (including me). there is Wifi, during my time it was free, but i dnt know now. there is a gym (but i never use it)

The management.
Frankly speaking, the hostel management sucks, since they own by private co. unfriendly staff. b ut the facilities is nice.
Faculty management, is good. But the canselori used to be quite messed up but i think they improved now.

All in all, i welcome you to join my alma mata. TESL program there not only teaching you how to survived in classroom but also in real world. they always throw us in the deep sea, it might seem harsh, but u learnt how to survive in school. u might not think so while u are studying, but once u work, u see that all the stuff they done, make it so easy.

coz i will be study at unisel this year since they offer a foundation which is free for me and i choose the foundation of TESL course. i wonder what is the difference between foundation year for B.Ed(TESL) and Diploma in TESL? after foundation can i start Bachelor of Edu. (TESL)? or i still need to start diploma first? the TESL course in UNISEL is a qualified of MQA? what kind of jobs can i apply after taking this course? can i teach in government sec. school? or have to apply job in private school?

Bro if I were an employer I will choose MMU and Uniten students compared to other college.

But if u compare at the location, Uniten's business course is at Pahang (jungle area)
MMU is at Cyberjaya.
I would recommend MMU.

Segi college is okay too but the starting should be lesser than the uni stated above.

It is all about reputation I guess.
