been on sedans for more than 5 years. with hatchback as an extra because only 2 person. and now on hatchback.
if i were you, i'd choose the used car over the new axia.
comfort wise - a sedan will always be more spacious that a hatch. (i have quite long legs, thus my hatchback is now for 4 person include driver. the back of my seat is too small.
fuel saving - ever heard of higher cc cars will spend less fuel cruising on highway? although lower cc cars have better fc in town areas, my previous elantra 1.8 goes almost 400km half tank on highway. it was a 10 year old car. (note : axia 150km 1 bar? what speed were you driving at? 80kph all day? and whats the total mileage for THAT tank that u got 150km 1 or 2 bar.)
think of it, 150km DAILY. spend a bit more for your comfort. u need to be healthy and fit for your job.
better safety - i'm not sure about the airbags etc but, look at the pictures around the web. proton and peroduas. what are the results?
more power - you will sometimes need more power to go around. uphill, more passengers etc. why settling for lower cc when u can go bigger.
car maintenance can be hard, can be expansive but it will be worth it. take good care of your car. regular check ups, service with least modification will make your car last long.
new car got warranty. but then how long it would take them to replace it? no stock. no foreman that knows how to do it. it's not covered. this that. i've been there. repaired my water pump pipe (metal pipe) because of my exhaust lol.
just what i feel. i'd get the altis no matter what lol.
2003 well-maintained Altis OR new Axia/ etc?, What do you think?
