Mine arrived in the afternoon, early morning taobao notify me and I check ABX tracking said shipment out for delivery.  I paid consolidate on THRUSDAY morning, received item today. Still reasonable cause there is weekend.

Did you know taobao consolidate got the 五日达, looks like very promising that's why I try it out (abx-consolidate instead of Direct). But how it works, totally no idea!

QUOTE(lyc1982 @ May 30 2016, 03:15 PM)
五日达 starts from the warehouse right ?
*
The details are here in mandarin for the 5 working days delivery guarantee
https://world.taobao.com/helper/knowledge.h...ap&kid=13114038
Chances are the delay are usually caused by the local courier in Malaysia

ABX has a really bad reputation of holding up parcels in their subang warehouse
Reason being that they're understaffed doh.gif
If according to tracking number your item already arrive at their warehouse, just go Subang and collect it urself (it's open 24 hours anyway)
Don't harap for them to deliver to u for at least a few days

I want to buy https://world.taobao.com/item/524085624231.htm
last time i use PRoute, but nowadays all the 3 consolitate agents are not even listed
*
You'll have to add several items to your cart before the consolidate option will be available
I tried with one item only then it doesn't appear, but if I add a few items together to the cart, there's no issue

Then they probably are not allowed to export via official channel
Try using agent for items like these

Items are not available for international sale
Chances are the item is prohibited for export or they have it in aliexpress but marked up price

Did you try using 3rd party agent such as ezbuy or sgshop?

BTW, i noticed some of the items on taobao doesn't offer official consolidate but after talking to the customer service rep for PRouter, they say they are still able to forward the shipment unofficially. Just need to inform them to arrange for you.
Most importantly, they are still cheaper than ezbuy or SGshop

Ok, then how do you arrange with warehouse Dex/Prouter once your item arrived?
Do you need to contact them thru online chat or something?
*
yup, contact them thru online chat before proceeding
check with them to make sure that they are OK with forwarding the parcel
there should be a 7 characters* unique code (用户识别码) assigned to your taobao ID which they include in your china local shipping address as reference

For example, PRouter's address is
广东省深圳市宝安区沙井街道大王山工业一路二号信隆大厦5楼南 收件人为您的旺旺名 电话0755-27564249 邮编:518101

meanwhile, found another forwarder which is cheaper than ezbuy or sgshop and cheaper than prouter (cheapest official consolidator/forwarder) - http://www.yeslogistics.com.my/
20 yuan per kilo and free warehouse storage

QUOTE(alucard89 @ Jun 22 2016, 08:10 PM)
Ok, from what I've gathered

1) Contact seller if they can forward to china local shipping address warehouse (Prouter/Dex)
2) Also contact prouter by chat and ask if they can forward that item. I have to also post the item taobao/tmall link to them right so they can check the item?
2) Once seller agreed, they'll ship. On taobao, the 7 characters unique code would be listed in my purchase list which I would later provide to prouter by chat.
4) Item delivered to prouter warehouse and shows up under consolidate option

Can I have some proper phrase/correct questions to ask since I mostly do google translate  sweat.gif

Btw, what kind of items have you bought so far with this method, any sensitive items like powerbank?

Thanks for another alternative forwarder, ratings/feedback seems to be favorable for yeslogistics
Have you tried it yourself?
*
(1) and (2): Technically, seller will not have any problem forwarding it to the warehouse, it's more of the warehouse knowing what to do upon receiving the parcel on your behalf and whether will they forward it to your Malaysian home address.
Yes, you'll need your forwarder's permission and agreement to provide you their service. And you'll need to send your forwarder (Prouter/Dex) the link of the item for them to check if it's okay or to check for any special shipping requirement.
Different forwarder might have different ways of working things out, eg, different warehouse address, the format of shipping address have to indicate some special instruction and so on... I'm only familiar with Prouter and what I've told you so far are based on my experience with them. Do note that this is my first time arranging for an unofficial forwarding service with them.

(3) I'm not sure if you can see your 7 characters unique code if you have never use their official consolidator before. And I'm not sure how important is that 7 characters unique code if you're not using their official consolidate option. Check and see what's your forwarder's requirement.

(4) Nope, it won't appear in Taobao's system as this is arranged separately with your forwarder. The reason is, Taobao's has a list of item that they forbid for international shippping even though your local custom allows it (such item could be bulky items like furniture or stuff like handphones). So when that item that you're buying is on their own restricted list, there's no way of using their internal consolidate option to send your stuff to Malaysia.

So, the unofficial way can be quite troublesome and scary if it is your first time and you're unable to communicate efficiently in Mandarin. Hence we have agents out there who will help you deal with all these issues. I can give you a list of sentences that you can use to ask if they are able to offer forwarding services without going through Taobao, let me know.

For yeslogicstic, personally I haven't try it myself but my sister and her friends have been using it.

So far the stuff that I've bought are shipped into Malaysia thru Taobao's official consolidate option. The only time that my shipment was listed under sensitive item is because I bought a car 12v USB charger with bluetooth FM transmitter - the system will automatically put them for sensitive air shipping which is way more expensive.
I also had an experience where the international power adapter i bought got listed as sensitive item, I had to contact the forwarder to get it clarified. In the end, they changed it and place it under normal shippping.
This time I had to do it unofficially is because I'm buying a fish pond filtration system which is quite bulky.

sorry for asking noob question, i still need some understanding:
by using Taobao's official consolidate option...does that mean they consolidate the items at the warehouse...and charge per kg (e.g: RMB 21/kg) shipment to msia ?
In that case...isn't cheaper to go with TGDS with 15kg as limit instead of RMB 21/kg x 15kg =  RMB 315 ?
*
alucard89 is right, TGDS is based on their system estimation and it is usually cheaper if you buy a lot
Whereas Taobao official consolidate option (4px, Prouter, 中通秀驿 and 递壹时 ) will weigh your item at their warehouse before packing them. Do note that they'll also know what did you buy as the system will notify them if that item needs to be shipped with special cargo brows.gif
Different forwarder will have different limitation when it comes shipping bulky item as well but everything you need to know can be found here - https://world.taobao.com/helper/knowledge.htm?kid=6551700

QUOTE(alucard89 @ Jun 23 2016, 10:13 AM)
Thank you so much for your input, that's quite a lot to digest
Seems like need to be very careful/alert when using this unofficial method
I really have to start learning mandarin right away

When you mention that you bought items that's considered sensitive, you get charged with sensitive air shipping instead which is a bit expensive.
I take it this is with prouter consolidate option?

One thing I notice about sensitive items is that taobao won't even allow you checkout that item.
When that happens, well it's time to use agent service.
*
Yup. I've only used Prouter before - cheapest official option biggrin.gif and never really had any problems with them after so many shipment
Their partner in Malaysia are ABX and Airpax Express. Given that ABX always has an issue with the lack of staff resulting in items being kept in their warehouse, I will contact their customer service to go for Airpax when paying for consolidation.
So far, my experience with Airpax is quite good, the delivery is faster than their tracking system sweat.gif
ABX on the other hand, I've already banned them - items already arrive in Subang warehouse but kept route scan route scan. In the end, opt for self collect ranting.gif

Yup those items are prohibited for international sales in their system.
Sometimes you'll get those message saying "根据所在国法律法规或平台政策 此项商品限制下单购买。" and you can't even view the price options etc means that particular listing is only available for China local shipping; TGDS and official consolidate not available/not allowed.
However, if you really want them, you can still go through agents.

It's the delivery guy that sometimes have a time hard time finding my address
They must've recently changed to a different guy this time around
My item already 2 days in delivery and latest status is 'UPDATE STATUS - NOT ENOUGH TIME' for 2 days straight
Tomorrow I'm just gonna call for a pickup

With prouter, how long do you usually get your items? A week after order was made?

Also, just tried purchasing some stuff using yes logistics. Will provide some feedback later, their fb hotline has been quite responsive so far
*
ABX is hopeless la haha
With prouter, it's usually within 5-6 days after I pay for consolidation

Skynet if not mistaken
If you opt for TGDS, it's also processed by 中通秀驿

All my purchases were delivered within 7-8 days as well, sometimes even earlier, and that's from clicking buy and pay to warehouse then sent to my doorstep.

TXSim
Any idea which agent/forwarder did your brother use?
As far as I know, none of the official forwarder for taobao is having poslaju as their partner.

If ABX, then always route scan or insufficient time.
Skynet is a mix, sometimes fast sometimes slow.

Hi, just wanna give my feedback to Yeslogistics

For payment, you'll need to topup RMB yuan in your account.
Their rates are based on latest forex exchange, and daily updated.
For example today is 1.66, when yesterday was 1.63.
You can always claim refund back to MYR if there's additional RMB in your account that you don't plan to use anytime soon.

They're using skynet and abx with both shipping rates starting at 20 yuan/kg for normal items. For sensitive items will start at 50 yuan for 1st kg and 18 yuan subsequently.
Parcel collection fee is 2 yuan from each seller you've bought your items. Example:

a) Buy 5 items from same seller, you'll be charged with 2 yuan
b) Buy 5 items from 5 different sellers, you'll be charged with 10 yuan

Total cost for their service is:
(Item price/1.66) + Air freight fee + Parcel collection fees (2 yuan x items bought)

Their fb support chat is really helpful and responsive, they'll answer every question you have and give updates for your item regularly  thumbsup.gif
Ordered my items last Friday and received all of them today  thumbup.gif
Was worried for second that local courier might delay shipment and I ended have to collect my items after raya.

Thanks to evilhomura89  for recommending this, 3k likes on Facebook and I've never even heard of their service before
*
No worries bro
You used their "buy for me" service right?
I was thinking of using their "ship for me" service to save a bit more on the exchange rate

blackdiamondonkey
What items did you buy?
Maybe our kastam officer already Raya mood doh.gif

Hi Guys,  sweat.gif  cry.gif  rclxub.gif

Can help.. Buta chinese here:

thanks !

See my replies below:

1) 淘宝直送 Taobao Global Direct Shipping5日达 ¥32.00 (中国大陆段运费:¥0.00 海外段运费:¥32.00;附加费及限重体积信息)

a) This option means I can buy a few items from different seller. And then they will pack for me and send is it? Just pay 1 time RMb 32? (as long total weight below 60kg and 130cm)?
or is it actually
each item/each seller + rmb 32

Firstly there are several shipping option, but there's only two officially from taobao -
1. TGDS (直运 aka 淘宝直送)- which is the one you saw as mentioned above, most hassle free method, click pay and wait for item to be delivered.
2. Consolidate 集运 - good if you are doing multiple separate orders. You'll need to navigate through Taobao website to check if your item has arrive warehouse, then click "Consolidate" and pay for shipping depending on the total weight of your item. This service for Malaysian route is offered by 4 taobao appointed agent - 4PX, PRouter, 中通秀驿 and 递壹时. Their rates differ so do their customer service. Their local delivery partner differs as well. Personally I go for PRouter due to their cheaper rate and never had problems with them.

This 32RMB only applies to your current TGDS checkout. Anything that you have added into the cart before this are all under this order.
If you place another separate order, it is considered as a separate shipment.
It is not fixed to 32RMB, the more stuff you have, the higher the price goes.
32RMB is the minimum that you'll have to pay for TGDS. We are not sure about how the system calculate the cost, but if you read a few pages back, some members had shipped heavy stuff for lower price using TGDS.
Personally I kinda suspected the more you buy per order, the cheaper it is (in terms of shipping cost per item).

b) What happen if above 60kg and 130cm?
For TGDS, the limit is 15kg per order, and the box size shouldn't exceed 80cm at any side and shouldn't exceed 120cm L,W and H combined.
Again, if you use their official forwarder, different company different limits.
More info here
- https://world.taobao.com/helper/knowledge.htm?kid=6551700

c) actually the rmb 32 is using what service company?
TGDS for Malaysia is handled by 中通秀驿, their partner in Malaysia is Skynet. 中通秀驿 themselves also offer 集运

2) If want buy things that is fragile.like vase.teapot.. is it ok to use global direct shipping?
It doesn't really matter which shipping method you use as their job is just to consolidate and ship them here. Your main concern here is how the seller pack your fragile stuff. But most of them rely on courier service to deliver their goods across China, so no doubt on their packing skills.
It's how the airport staff/courier staff handles your package that I'm more worried of and these are usually beyond our control.

3) If I want to buy sensitive how ah? Any idea? how much extra charges?
Sensitive item usually have extra charges, different forwarder different charges.
Some you might not be able to buy thru official shipping method even though it is not illegal to import them.
In such cases, you'll have to rely on 3rd party agent such as ezbuy, sgshop, yeslogistics etc to help you.

4) I am trying to find "subang jaya" in address section. cannot find.. Only petaling jaya...correct moh?
Yup, that's right. As long as you type your full address and it's in the correct region with correct postcode, it shouldn't be a problem.

5) I read here there.. I should install Aliwangwang? to talk to taobao admin? Any other important app i should install?
I don't know if they'll be able to communicate with you in English effectively but you can install the taobao app, and the wangxin app. Useful if you need to contact your seller, your forwarder etc.

good explanations there...

For this i still have some query ----->For TGDS, the limit is 15kg per order, and the box size shouldn't exceed 80cm at any side and shouldn't exceed 120cm L,W and H combined.
I can understand 15kg per order limitation...what about the box size let say for 2 same items with each having 40x40x40cm ? Can I still ship these 2 same items (total 2 boxes weight < 15kg) under the same TGDS order with only RMB32 (this is what i observed by trying to combine 2 items together under 1 order, and it is still showing RMB32 only) shipping fee ?
*
Well usually the system won't be able to detect box size and the weight, so I suppose luck does play a part here. We have no idea how the amount is calculated, maybe it based on an estimated weight provided by the seller. Whatever amount that was shown to you for TGDS during checkout is what you'll have to pay. After that, it shouldn't be your problem anymore whether if it's overweight or oversized. That's why TGDS are not always available for bulky items, sensitive items etc. They can't risk having oversized/overweight/sensitive shipment without incurring extra charges. Even if it's available, it would cost a bomb and you're better off using the official forwarder which goes by the actual weight and size.

They might classify them under sensitive items which means additional charges
And they (Taobao) might not even allow them to be shipped internationally through their official export channel

1) So I can order from a few sellers but as long as it in 1 cart for the TGDS (直运 aka 淘宝直送)- yes correct, 1 checkout = 1 shipment. Not sure if they will break into several shipment but usually it will come as one.

2) Branded bag consider sensitive shipment right? better use external 3rd agent to bring in? - not sure about branded bags, you can checkout and see if TGDS is available. If not chances are you'll have to rely on 3rd party.

3) wangxin app is like whatsapp/chat is it? - yup, it's just a chatapp. if not mistaken the taobao app has a messaging function built in as well

You'll have to contact Prouter customer service via the wangxin app (can be accessed via browser too for web version)
Just click on the blue character icon

He seems like very innocent or pretend don't know about this. Then later he apologise and walk away.
Yesterday during afternoon time, i guess the same guy delivered parcel to me but this time he never ask for tips. After i got the parcel and he return and said whether can get some tip during CNY and i did not said anything and he just walk away.

*
As long as your shipment doesn't exceed RM500, you won't get taxed.
And try to get all your items from no more than 20 different seller in one consolidation. Reason being different seller will send their own parcel to the warehouse and usually warehouse has a limitation on how many packages can they combine in one consolidation. (max 20 if i'm not mistaken, but different forwarder different rules)

On a sidenote, I managed ship a fruit juicer (worth RMB800) without any problems via Yeslogistics. Ordered on 13th, received on 19th.
Had to ship it as sensitive parcel and the shipping cost me RMB300 cause it was charged with a volumetric weight of 13kg (actual weight 10kg).

Checked already, impossible to get at that price even in Malaysia. Buy from taobao + shipping still cheaper than buying here.
A lot of traders out there jacking up the prices hence sometimes it's still cheaper to import it ourselves.
