Nobody like Edge? I think it is quite good compared to the old IE. For me, it is actually comparable to Chrome & Firefox if you're not into add-ons.

I'd go with Chrome. Mozilla Firefox is a bit too slow for my liking.

For websites compatibility issues such like print a PDF statement from KWSP, Firefox > Chrome. I really can't find any different between Chrome and Firefox but I'm using both web browser frequently in the same time. Firefox makes me feel slower probably is just because their logo designing. Actually they have not much different for me. I am using Firefox as my default web browser for my personal gaming PC, there has not much reason to explain why I like to set Firefox as my default web browser because I've been using it more than 10 years. I am using Google Chrome in my office PC but I have to install an extra Firefox for my backup browser because sometimes when I print bank statement from PB Enterprise, google Chrome won't load the PDF file. It will became to download a webpage but not a PDF file. I have to use Firefox because it has better compatibility on such online banking, KWSP, myasnb PDF statement printing.

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Jun 25 2020, 07:27 PM) not really. i'm testing on rigs with dual core cpu & 2GB ddr2 / 4GB ddr3 on 32bit windows. Windows 7?in terms of ram usage (best to worse): ie > edge > chrome > ff I tried IE a lot for fallback incase some website does not work, IE is the worst browser lol, most of the time it's just spinning circle, aka unresponsive. IE currently is the only way to play youtube in h264, old GPU definitely need it because in other browser it play VP9 instead, will choke any low end CPU to death. new browser will make used of Direct2D/WebGL with GPU acceleration, http://www.fishgl.com/ is one of the example, if you lurking long enough you probably know Quake2 and CS1.6 can be played in browser already. It's kinda depends on system as well. |
