QUOTE(tiongkeat @ Dec 8 2015, 03:30 PM) they called me after complain, the told me it is illegal to install waze on android player really siao, how can waze to be illegal, and he told me i am the 2nd guy who complain about the issue and no others. i think first one is u How can the world most used navigation system be illegal. The original Clarion AX1 has Waze installed. Are they collaborating with iGO so that we have to pay for the maps update in future. Third parties infotainment can install Waze. Can every owners of ASX with the Clarion OEM please bombard MMM how back dated they are and request for Waze to be included in the Infogo App Garage. Really stupid remark "it is illegal to install Waze". Below snapshot of the video presentation of the Clarion AX1 by one of the sales rep from Clarion Malaysia. Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(Refuzed @ Dec 9 2015, 08:16 AM) I just shoot them an email as well - For Waze and for other basic apps such as PDF Reader, Calendar and etc. to be included in their Infogo App Garage the most. Let's see what they gotta say. Ha ha ha, you be the third one they will say. We need more people to voice our unhappiness on the infotainment.

QUOTE(Refuzed @ Dec 11 2015, 11:21 AM) I see, thanks. Will be going to the SC later to do my first 1000km service. By the way, I received a call from Mitsubishi CS regarding the complain that I made pertaining to their Clarion player. It seems that there are some 'copyright issues' with Google Play Store hindering them from including Google-friendly apps as well as the ability to install our custom apps. He, however, mentioned that this matter will be brought to the higher management for their attention. Let's just wait and see If it is a Google Play rights issue, then why don't they let us install Waze from the Info App Garage. Lame excuse. More likely it is the iGO agreement. Aren't the system android based. What copyright issues. Waze is a free app, iGO you have to buy the app and the map updates. That's what I told the Mitsubishi CS and then he said has to refer to the highe management. This post has been edited by CuriOu5: Dec 12 2015, 09:05 AM

QUOTE(kronos_fir18 @ Dec 18 2015, 04:45 AM) This is as far as i got atm. This update improves: - audio performance of the head unit - stability in Bluetooth pairing, device display & handsfree calling mode - performance and behaviour in Bluetooth audio streaming mode - WIFI stability - reverse camera and fixes several known bugs - music player; can handle bigger song libraries better and playback functions will work correctly - video playback; now resumes correctly and several bugs were corrected - radio mode’s UI and general performance issues - over UI of the unit (GPS lock signal, status bar and volume indicators) taken from here ; https://www.myclarion.net/support-ax1_firmwareYou upgraded the firmware over the current Clarion OEM model QX 8013A-A. Is there an "Unknown sources" in the setting.

FC quite bad a bit .. average 10.50l/100km .i tot can be around 8l/100km lo. my triton FC was better den this . May I ask, where did you go to update the Infotainment. QUOTE(Refuzed @ Dec 22 2015, 11:21 AM) I'm using the FL version (just bought like a month ago) and I do get the weird smell (not sure if it is the rubber smell but it smelled more like a bacon to me) whenever I go up to 120kmph. The handling and pickup is good I would say. The weird smell must be for certain model or unit. My car is about a month and it doesn't give out any weird smell even at speed above 120km/hr. Now hearing "tak" "tak" sound when braking while reversing.

QUOTE(cktan15 @ Dec 26 2015, 01:50 PM) I have the engine smell whenever I rev it till around 4K RPM, went back to service center to complain and they mentioned there is leaking from exhaust system to air con system. Got it fixed and now no more smell, is it probably the same issue as I have? I believe the smell affect some units only. Mine doesn't give out any unusual smell even at speed above 140km/hr.

QUOTE(kronos_fir18 @ Dec 25 2015, 04:42 AM) why can't update it? i am able to do so.. Kronos, I guess you are flashing Clarion AX1 firmware over QX-8013A-A. After the update, are you able to see the "Unknown Sources" under Settings/Application (picture below snap shot on Clarion AX1 Settings/Application screen). QUOTE(hd935 @ Jan 8 2016, 07:35 PM) Hi guys how's it going? I'm getting my new ASX soon, but getting the GL version after finding out that the higher specs 2WD comes with a sucky version of Clarion AX1 - so probably gonna get the radio replaced with another 3rd party player. Just wanna check on two things: 1. Does any of you have any recommendation on what player should I get as a replacement? An-android based player perhaps? 2. Thinking of changing the halogen headlamps with a Xenon ones - is this feasible for the ASX, has anyone attempted this? Appreciate you help, many thanks and happy 2016! You made the right choice choosing the GL over the Enhanced. Not worth paying the extras which are useless. I regretted choosing the Enhanced with only enhanced the price and got a hopeless Infotainment. If you are choosing a HU, make sure it has the "Unknown Sources" in the settings. Don't listen to the salesperson, see the demo before committing. Let the car accessories shop convince you. Do you need a Xenon lights. The standard ones are bright enough. Anyone knows where is the service centre for the infotainment. The service centre gave me a number to call and no one seems to be answering the phone, whatsapp or SMS. They can't give me the address of the company and only asked me to call the supplier to make appointment for the service to be done at Mitsubishi service centre. Sounds fishy.

QUOTE(dayalan86 @ Jan 14 2016, 08:27 AM) I'm planning to get 2.0GL enhanced. Can the steering audio control and auto cruise be added at accessory shop outside? I remember reading in the forum it could be done for earlier version of the ASX. Think again about the enhanced model. The Infotainment is useless as you can't install any apps. You can't install the world most used navigation system which is Waze and only has iGo navigation which is running on 1900 platform and has limited database. I regretted paying the extra RM7000+ for the enhanced version ie. the Infotainment and the extra two sensor in the front. If I have known these earlier I would have gotten the GL and spent the RM7,000 on better Infotainment and navigation. Well, after spending the extra RM7000, I still have to drive around with the Waze using the handphone. But it is still your choice and money.

QUOTE(dayalan86 @ Jan 14 2016, 08:55 PM) 2.0GL is the entry level spec without the infotainment. If got steering Audio control is more than sufficient for me, I plan to upgrade the audio anyway Only thing I was told is that the 2015 ASX has better rear seats (more inclined). Need to check it out All models are with steering audio control. 2015 facelift model comes with backseat inclined compared to the preface lift model.
