I tested both XV and ASX last week also. Here are my brief opinion:

XV (Sport ver)
- Responsive acceleration and quiet engine + gearbox
- Balance steering feel (not too heavy or light)
- Firm suspension, but still acceptable for daily drive
- Plain dashboard layout, nothing fancy
- Intrusive tyre noise above 80kph+


ASX (4WD)
- Noisy acceleration and not so responsive (don't know from engine or gearbox, just noisy ok)
- Light steering (lady driver might like it)
- Like the moon roof
- Comfy suspension

You should try the new Nissan X-Trail if you feel CRV is comfy. You might have different opinion later in terms of sound proof, suspension and smooth+responsive acceleration.

Yeah, the same opinion for the acceleration and suspension.
Both models are going to redesign probably 2016 which would arrive M'sia maybe nearer 2017

I believe XV does have usable 4wd & good ground clearance. What niggles me is there was less space at the back to sit 3 across.

Anything with only 2 airbags should be taken out of the equation.

Just watched on youtube, everyman's review on Asx, renamed Outlander sport in the US. Surprised about its 4wd which is quite usable.

Perhaps better to wait for future models given the current economic climate.

Decided to get X-Trail 2.0, but wait till 2016 cause not in hurry although aware that there will be price increased. Also wana see whether new VW Tiguan 2016 can arrive to bolehland in 2016 or not.

Called some random SA from Mudah and he offered me RM6k rebate for all the ASX variants (facelifted). Is it a good deal or there are better ones out there?

I think i was offered around 7k rebate when i did the test drive last saturday. But i believe it'll get better come december.

Of course the SA's will say price will go up next year. Expect nothing less from them.

if bring in CBU then no need to wait till 2017 lor, but the CBU price might scare you away

now buy and dec buy no diff, value confirm drop, once out from dealer mean drop min 20% lolx

2015 or 2016 manufacturing year makes a difference right?

I should think that if the discount is good, that should more or less offset the resale value.

Furthermore year-end lots of extra goodies thrown in.

Now I am dilemma to choose ASX Enhance or Mazda 3 Sedan High Spec.... M3 really best in spec but legroom like not as good as ASX.

How you guys get 8k as Penang SA only give 4-5k discount ?

Initially heard the earlier model did encountered rubber/oil smell from aircon when hit 120-140km/h, how about this new enhanced model? Any 1 can provide feedback?
