its been 4 days already, i kept waiting for it to become better and yet everyday i wake up its still the same ping to singapore servers.

Steam server i ping:

sgp-1.valve.net
sgp-2.valve.net

(Singapore steam server)

its giving me constant 150 ping+-, normally its 5-10 ping.

can you please fix this for me?

account no: 1797362140

and it is not on my side, my modem/pc everything is fine.

u can see it in the forum, many are having the same problem since few days ago,

this problem always come time to time.

no matter peak or no peak hours, whole day and night is this ping.

Dear All,

Sincere apology for not replying to each and every post at this thread.

As at this moment, you as home fibre internet users may faced difficulties in browsing or having smooth internet connection at the evening/night. We apologize for such experience.

Do rest assured that rectification work is in progress wherein our tech team is rectifying the issue at their best efforts to ensure no such occurrences to happen again. However, there is no tentative timeline to be advised right now. Hence, we do wish that everyone faced the issue could accord his/her patience towards this issue.

And again, sincerely apologize to you unsure.gif

Thank you.

getting ~120ms to sgp-1.valve.net which is in Singapore with spike up to 300ms
and this only happens at night around 7pm to the wee hours in the morning
latency is fine during daytime.. getting a good ~15ms

what is happening??? it's like you guys purposely scheduled something and it is degrading your service!!

MAXIS please make your technical team aware of this issue!!
and find an explanation for us

Only DotA for me. Browsing and streaming are all good and i dont really care.

I get 130ms+ when i ping sgp-1.valve.net and sgp-2.valve.net starting around 8PM until 1-2AM. It was fine 2 weeks ago. Please fix this ASAP.

Thanks.

EDIT: And the ping is 140+ms right now.
EDIT: Its not only me by the way, its happening to everyone with Maxis Fibre.

What you gave to Maxis is a waste of time actually. For me,I have been facin to slow browsing issues, high ping when gaming,QoS been cut down seriously and sometimes the internet totally down. All this problem is exists for 5 months and still go on.Guys, look it is 5 months, not 5 days.I wonder what takes them 5 month to investigate and until now, they haven't give me an exact answer for my problem. Somehow, they started ignore my message since last week.

Hi sora90,

There is an ongoing issue for latency and our team is checking on it. We apologize for the inconvenience.

It's better for me now, there are spikes sometimes but not often. Instead of 100+ms I average at about 50ms now from 8pm-12am. Other times usually about 30ms.

Steam promotes WTFast through Steam network, so how does it get you banned on Steam? mind = blown.

WTFast even went as far to bribe users for positive review.
Steam promotes WTFast? You must be kidding.
Did you even attempt to try to use WTFast, if it really improve your connection, please post it up and here I would like to quote a user that had used WTFast for 40 hours according to Steam review
QUOTE
YES, it does work.

NO, it will not magically lower your ping to 5ms. Connecting to an NA server from EU or OZ will still result in relatively high latency, and if your ping is in the 30s-60s, what the hell are you even doing here?

Use this software only if your ping is really bad, i.e. over 200-250. Otherwise the improvement might be barely noticeable, or even worse - WTFast will actually increase your latency if your ping is low to begin with.

CURRENTLY THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LATENCY IMPROVEMENT PROVIDED BY THE FREE AND ADVANCED VERSION, SO IF YOU BUY ANY OF THE PAID OPTIONS, YOU'LL BE THROWING YOUR MONEY AWAY.

I was forced to use WTFast one afternoon when my ping in TERA suddenly jumped to over 400ms, which was making the game unplayable. Remembering my previous experience with WTFast (doubling the latency) I hesitated with the download and installation, but in the end it was worth it, barely. I used to sit on 175 ms when connecting from Poland to Chicago. WTFast lowered it to roughly 135ms, which sometimes jumps to 155ms. Minor improvement, but in the end it made the game more responsive.

So yeah, I recommend it if your ping is bad. Why a negative review though? Because the paid version is a joke and the devs take their sweet time answering your questions. All credit to them, they didn't discard my support ticket when my subscription ended.

i gave it a go on HOTS yesterday night for 2 games only,

190 - 210 ms without

30 - 50 ms with it

however, I am not going to conclude now that this is the best option, because there is no excuse for Maxis peering their connections from KL, to Japan, then back to Singapore, utter disgrace.

absolute pointless debate if you were enjoying 25 ms, WTFast is a VPN network that fixes peering issues. At 25 ms, this indicates no peering issues at all.

Maxis went the absolute rubbish route by peering to KL-> Japan-> Singapore for blizzard server. I'm taking a trip to Tokyo everytime I cast a spell.

at 200+ MS, we're better off playing in America servers.

WTFast simply provides a direct route from KL -> SEA server in Singapore. No magic tricks. (Which Maxis is suppose to provide for)

Tried killping, didn't work out maybe I set it up wrong. Tried WTFAST my ping went from 120 - 170 to 28ms, now playing at night time where Maxis is giving me unstable ping from 70 - 120.

Lol, was thinking about making the jump back to maxis, and here I read the same ping issues all over again.
Was a maxis subscriber back in 2012 and dota2 ping was so bad 150-250ms.
Compared to 4MB streamyx at the same location, 15-40ms.

Ok, gonna stick to paying RM179.00 sad.gif
