YES, it does work.

NO, it will not magically lower your ping to 5ms. Connecting to an NA server from EU or OZ will still result in relatively high latency, and if your ping is in the 30s-60s, what the hell are you even doing here?

Use this software only if your ping is really bad, i.e. over 200-250. Otherwise the improvement might be barely noticeable, or even worse - WTFast will actually increase your latency if your ping is low to begin with.

CURRENTLY THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LATENCY IMPROVEMENT PROVIDED BY THE FREE AND ADVANCED VERSION, SO IF YOU BUY ANY OF THE PAID OPTIONS, YOU'LL BE THROWING YOUR MONEY AWAY.


I was forced to use WTFast one afternoon when my ping in TERA suddenly jumped to over 400ms, which was making the game unplayable. Remembering my previous experience with WTFast (doubling the latency) I hesitated with the download and installation, but in the end it was worth it, barely. I used to sit on 175 ms when connecting from Poland to Chicago. WTFast lowered it to roughly 135ms, which sometimes jumps to 155ms. Minor improvement, but in the end it made the game more responsive.

So yeah, I recommend it if your ping is bad. Why a negative review though? Because the paid version is a joke and the devs take their sweet time answering your questions. All credit to them, they didn't discard my support ticket when my subscription ended.

i don't even work for WTFast but there will always be both positive and negative reviews out there.

it's another option for gamers to try and if it doesn't work try something else.

i gave it a go on HOTS yesterday night for 2 games only,

190 - 210 ms without

30 - 50 ms with it

however, I am not going to conclude now that this is the best option, because there is no excuse for Maxis peering their connections from KL, to Japan, then back to Singapore, utter disgrace.
