Hi guys,

So I would like to upgrade my refurbished Alienware's Graphic Card. I've checked online and it is possible for Alienware's 17inch models to be upgraded. But I have no idea which graphic card is compatible with the one I'm using (Such as Graphic Card Size etc). I'm using a GeForce GT 750M by the way. Anyone knows any models that can fit? Hopefully there's some GeForce 900 or above that's compatible lol.

Thank you in advance for any advice thumbup.gif

Well as I said, Refurbished Alienware 17" lol. And yes, using NVDIA GT750M, with Intel HD 4600. 16GB DDR3 Ram, Intel i7-4710MQ CPU @ 2.50GHz .

Sorry not an expert in computer stuff here so I have no idea what's with all these reactions from y'all.

This is just something new. Haha

I did some readings.

Refer to below link, GT 750m is a mxm card.

http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/2224/geforce-gt-750m.html

Yes, you can upgrade your Alienware 17. There is a lot of choice depends on your budget.

Compatible Nvidia card is GTX 770m. GTX 780m, GTX 860m, GTX 870m, GTX 880m, GTX 970m and GTX 980m.
While AMD is AMD M290x.

The card I mentioned above, it can push your laptop gaming power from 2x to 5x or more.

I see, just kinda afraid that GTX 880M or higher will burn my laptop apart or the sizes of the GPU is too huge for my laptop to fit in. Are they all the same size though? And does the higher performance GPU needs different requirements to support?

Can you post your full laptop configuration including model and pictures?

As what you told, your's is Alienware 17. If it is Alienware 17. There is no problem for the laptop to handle the card that I mentioned in previous post.

You said full laptop configuration, so I thought DxDiag is the one you asked since it gives all the specs and hardware info of the PC. But alright I'll try to take a photo lol
