Now, most of our members know that Cedar wood is a big no no to use, but there are some people still unaware that untreated pine can be as bad as cedar. Bedding like Chipsi Classic , LM Pine wood shavings, Living world pine etc are using untreated or poorly treated pine. Panderosa pine and white or red pine are all equally bad.

The only pine shavings that is considered safe is Kaytee Pine shavings because they kiln-dry their pine to remove the volatile hydrocarbons in the wood, aka Phenols. These phenols are actually more poisonous than we think. Try sleeping everynight with a bottle cap filled with those disinfectants commonly sold in supermarkets stuck to your nose, cuz that's almost exactly what your pet has been doing.

Added on November 2, 2008, 5:13 pmI got my baby adi.. decided to name them " Rain" and "Thunder", still cant differciate which is which yet for now,

Hand feed them with cats wet food. So tame and so cute, so active jumping around..

Now there are taking nap. so cute saw one of them "yawning"

Open eyes adi wan.. two diff character they have.. one sleep like a pig the other wan so active like spider man climbing here and there and eat and eat and eat non stop hahaha..

FOr sm ppl its lidat la.. white rats 1st thing on their mind is "lab, sciences, cut" sad wei.. sniff sniff shud educate them more on "fancy rats" expand their mind and knowledge that "fancy rats" really do make a gd pets and their are genius.


@nnie buy more and add 2 ur collection of fancy rats la... the more the merrier..
