the best ratio is 1 male to 2 females...
the best way for the female guppy to deliver is with just water plants...
for the breeding trap..it's good but u may lost some fry cos some might get stuck there...as in my experience...

i been wondering...
usually those guppies in fish shop are quite big in size
but mine shrink & each generation is getting smaller & smaller
what u guys feed them?
*
it's because of inner breeding..means breeding between brother and sisters...or perhaps son and mum..or perhaps dad and daughter...
datz y 1 generation by the another size get smaller and smaller

Added on February 28, 2007, 9:06 pmdo not put guppy with ghost shrimp...
u know y they keep swim at the top?try observe and u'll see the shrimps nipping their tails...
it's better to keep guppy in their own tank without other fishes..
cheers...

You'll know when the female stays at one corner or surface, swim less, it's time to seperate them out.

My setup consist of 2 feet tanks, divide in half by glass divider, and use sponge filter for each..
This is breeding setup la..

years ago i breed Metalic king cobra, Blue Grass, Moscow blue, now stop due to studies and if holiday balik honetown no one take care for me.
Most of them reach F3, Blue Grass very hard to maintain good strain..

feeding for fries i use live daphnia. 50cents can feed whole day.. For adults, normal guppy food will do.

Share more of your current tank setup, and did you seperate the female after she gives birth?
For the inactive fries, give them a day or two.. Dun rush them to be active. biggrin.gif

Subang area where can get good guppy?
*
From the shops i've been in Subang, mostly carry only normal strains..

After years stop breeding guppy, this is what i did for my setup. Too busy working, no time to keep pure strain..
This is lazy man setup..
