It takes time for them to recover their tails in full and takes some energy for them also. Feed them nicely and separate better la.

Is it very big n old ones or just normal ones??? Male or Female?
Sometimes they just died of exhaustion due to the chasing n breeding, both applies for male and female. This post has been edited by Lance8431: Jun 6 2007, 10:50 PM |

They will release their fries no matter what. Just put in more water plants or places that were good hiding spot for the fries before they get eaten up by the parents.
Female die could be any reason, might be tired because being chased too much by the male, infection or disease, whats the behavior and symptoms on your fish? |

=P Well, the fries will find food on their own, even our fish flakes sometimes dunno they eat or not. They nibble on the plants i put in last time, dunno eating algae or what. Relax man, they are a hardy group of fishes. |

Too stress and tired out due to the chasing and giving birth. Normally the right way was separate out the females after birth and feed them some nutricious feeders.
But most of the people just dont care and leave them in the same tank. Pity tho... Added on July 6, 2007, 2:44 pm QUOTE(Pumpkin_G @ Jun 28 2007, 09:28 AM) aihh. so sad to hear tat.. but mine.. dunno why.. last night all look happy.. this morning.. 4 died! mysteriously, and suddenly.. all males. so sad.. Hmm.. how's the water condition? Did you just bought them or sumthing and straight away put into tank?Or you had them for some time already and suddenly all died? Well for fishes, especially small ones, sometimes they might get infected by some virus and in worse case the whole fleet kena the same disease and died. I used to have a whole tank of guppies living happily and suddenly all died. If lucky maybe got 1 or 2 survivor to bring down the genes. Then these will be the stronger ones that resistant to the disease. This post has been edited by Lance8431: Jul 6 2007, 02:44 PM |

might just be that you just change the water and they are strssed or getting use to the new environment.
can is can, but risky la, if electric leak your fish all shock and float up side down. |
