i already stop using steroid cream completely for 2 months ++, now my whole body is recovering, for anyone that suffering from eczema and concerned , take some time to read the info in this website

remember, your medical doctor does know the root of your problem, they only know how to treat your symptoms, and it is their best interests to keep you coming back , so they won't bother to find it out and they blame it on your gene ( which is total b.s ).

It is recommended you go for a food allergy test with your doctor to find out whether is it food or environmental factors which is causing your eczema.

I got very sick when I cut out many essential food and in the end I found that I was not allergic to any of them.

My eczema was not improving. Only after the food allergy test that I found out that my skin condition was due to environmental factors.

Need to moisturise the skin after bath and constantly applying lotion throughout the day.

Don't use moogoo. Recommend Everyday fair trade unscented shea butter by Alaffia. This one may smell abit smoky which is normal for high quality shea butter as Africans use firefood to amke this shea butter. Alternatively, you can try Nubian Heritage raw shea butter. I had good results with Nubian Heritage.

Where do you live? If you're staying in outskirts, then yea Moogoo or Buds should be ok. If you're around Klang Valley, then can explore shea butters.

You can also try black seed oil, but it's a bit tricky to find.

For eczema, basically you wanna keep your skin moist. So just look around for good moisturizers.

Obviously overseas. Malaysia stuff is adulterated/processed/too little = which makes it not potent.

I have had eczema for a long time and I haven't really found one that's suitable for me. I tried Cetaphil Restoraderm based on online reviews, but it costs a lot and stings like HELL. At first I thought it was normal, but I later learned that I should find a moisturizer or emollient that doesn't sting.

I also tried Rosken and it didn't sting, but it doesn't feel very moisturizing.. At least it didn't sting though.

Any ideas and recommendations? Would help me a lot since my skin is dry and itchy all the time, especially with haze now! ;_;

Shea butter is the name of the item itself. Like cocoa butter from cocoa seed or mango butter from mango seed. It's some sorta butter from the shea seed. It's a great moisturizer & what makes it wonderful is that it has strong healing properties for many skin condition (eczema being one of it). So it moisturize & heal as well. Shea butter is used in many well known moisturizers out there, some of Moogoo's stuffs contains some shea butter as well. You can read more about shea butters here; https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=3921619&hl=

Rather than applying a cream or balm with a little shea butter in it, why not apply 100% shea butter instead? Don't dilute the goodness of shea butter. That's my logic when it comes to eczema.

If you're living in KV, may I suggest you visit this interesting outlet in Bangsar Village? It's called "M+ Natural Remedies", they have a pharmacy next door, but go to their natural remedies outlet instead. You can talk to their nutritionist or pharmacist, tell them your condition & that you're looking for shea butters. They can help & guide you. There are even some testers for you to try as well so you know exactly what you're getting.

glad that you find something work for you. How much is the moogoo u used? I used pure shea butter less than 80, good thing that it is multipurpose, can use for skin care, hair care, sunburn etc besides for eczema. The soap is much much cheaper and i use for daily showering until now.

Pure shea butter is definitely not available in conventional stores like Guardian or Watson. There are only a handful of stores selling it (usually small stores) & they're around PJ/KL areas only as far as I know.

Or else you have to order online. There are a few Malaysian selling it online.

The reason I suggest you to visit the stores last time, is so that you can sample it first to decide which one suits you better. Please take note that shea butter is not for everyone to use.
