if you don't want rm200 to be charged/held upfront, you may use petron's automated dispenser where you may preset the figure that you want, before you enter your cc. so only the preset figure will be charged.

this will be weird. i encountered usually a restaurant using their hotel terminal instead of the other way round. that's what i faced in johor and melaka.

those vouchers are useless since you need to pay the balance anyway. i received from mbb, pbb and uob too. but the one rhb gave me for swiss garden hotel was the best. it's not voucher but a free stay, no any payment needed.

sms alert for your first transaction is surely for most banks. you will need to set your minimum amount to trigger sms alert. you may put as low as rm1 if you want all transaction to trigger sms alert.

mbb ikhwan not covering dining and no 5x points. m2cards still a good card to dine in the weekends = 6.25% cashback.
