Not sure bro. People who own Novatouch rarely seem to sell them off secondhand.

And it's not worth it to get a new one (even with huge discount) just to harvest sliders.

Haha just saying, even at half price rm400 not sure if it's worth harvesting. I wonder why china isn't manufacturing this kind of stem

End game? what end game?  cry.gif  cry.gif

I thought I reach end game when I assemble my 60% but now I bought 2 realforce, 1 filco, 1 ergodox, 1 60% china parts and started getting into artisans. Now going to sell everything except 1 realforce and ergodox rclxub.gif

Thanks for your feedback SticH. But what is an "end game keyboard"? Please enlighten me SticH

End game means buy already then stop buying another keyboard, which isn't quite possible when our members kept spreading poison rclxms.gif

Buy one novatouch just to harvest sliders sweat.gif
Sure have very deep pockets..

I think the real problem is not the sliders, it's the pcb and rubber dome. JTK planned to manufacture those some topre sliders iinm, but still haven't seen any samples.

Some big gods here say end game buy still can't resist to buy more once in awhile tongue.gif

pulling the trigger on a new mechanical keyboard soon but the question is where's the best place to get keycaps and any guides to start on choosing keycaps?

First thing before buying a mkb is check the layout, see if it's a standard layout. If it's like those 'gaming' layout on the spacebar row, you'll very likely to run into issue fitting aftermarket keysets on it (the keycaps won't fit on the spacebar row).

If it's a standard layout and all good, then it depends on what type of keyboard you're using, backlit or no backlit, Cherry mx stem or mx clone switches. Usually doubleshot keycaps don't support backlit but iinm i've seen some that actually support backlit. ABS, PBT, POM, just go read up. Most common and cheap keycaps are laser etched, then some use pad print, some use dye sub. DS and dye sub won't fade over time.

Keycaps got various profiles, OEM, Cherry profile, DSA, DCS and etc.

I'm too lazy to carry on explaning. You should just refer to the first post posted by TS. It explained all that I said.

Happy hunting and hope you join the mkb club soon.

Oh, about where to buy keycaps, you can try asking ultimatezone, they carry Vortex keycaps (OEM profile). Then look for GMK or BSP if you want cherry profile, but those usually cost you a Filco to get it. Then lastly try finding on taobao.

I currently have a cherry brown KBT Race, and pulled the trigger on a Filco MJ2 cherry red, and was thinking of getting DS PBT keycaps in the near future. Anyone on the forums sell o-rings at non-exorbitant prices?

Yeah they are a tad vertically "squished" I guess? haha not sure how else to put it. It was either a Filco or the Ducky zero then saw a good deal on filco and BANG!

Aights will check it out! Thanks.

rarely see mkb got promotion unless it's those from razer. for a reason haha. either filco or ducky. got try out some switches and boards at heavyarms than you can tell which switch you like and in what kind of body. like when i tried blue switches in the cherry mx2 board and ducky zero. both blue but the cherry a lot more mushy in feeling because of the board.
