I had this little beauty for over 2 months courtesy from jusnits. I tried but I could never get used to the split form factor, some keys are hard to reach (I'm not a touch-typist so - whistling.gif ), function key clusters are difficult to access, lack of dedicated navigation (arrow) keys, no idea about the orientation (angled outwards or inwards rclxub.gif), ...

Despite my lack of love for it, I find it useful to have a split keyboard for:
i) Putting a bowl of maggi/snack in the middle while using the computer
ii) Collection for a mechanical keyboards fan

anyone know where to find topre keycaps ar?
*
hi mate, you found us!! keycaps for Topre are really hard to find, either you harvest from old faulty board or buy new ones from Elitekeyboards.com or
Leopold

QUOTE(Fuuko Master @ Jan 27 2016, 10:42 PM)
Do they even exist? I know there was a Topre keycap drop on Massdrop that failed. Some of the people who joined were cancerous, so I'm kinda glad it failed.

There are also people who sacrificed a Realforce to use the keycaps on another Topre keyboard. Funny shit.
*
that Skull Squadron was going for 140USD right? the price and lack of compatibility is a huge turn off..

hey wilson can help me check the difference when you use the O ring on the keyboard I sold you?  laugh.gif  i kena tegur already for typing too loudly  laugh.gif
*
QUOTE(sai86 @ Feb 3 2016, 09:35 PM)
key is abit higher due to using thick, but it will even out when you apply o-ring to all key. not much increase, juz a bit....very abit...
and sound reduction i would say almost by 50%. still its noisy but not so noisy compare to stock smile.gif
its just Rm19 per pack.
also, if you plan to use on ur led kb, be aware that some lightning will be block. you will notice your kepcaps instead of full lightning, the btm part will dim abit compare to top due to o-ring  smile.gif
hence i'm putting it into my filco instead to avoid spoiling the BW lightning  wub.gif
*
not if the o-ring is the clear variant. by the way, the exposed switch design will make the clickity-clack sound from mx blue switches to be more pronounced. all the o-rings do is just take away the clack sound when the bottom of your keycap hit the top of the mechanical switch.

TS can help you source it from taobao. but for your information, the one you linked is made by Tai-Hao and its OEM profile, not Cherry profile. wink.gif

My current keyboard's stock keycap height is OEM profile and I'm alright with it.

Is there any supposed ergonomic benefits to cherry profile? Maybe I'm missing out on something laugh.gif
*
nope. no different. Cherry profile is just slightly lower than OEM profile.

Anybody here knows where to get 5 din or known as 5 pin AT din to ps/2 for old keyboard. Need to convert it to USB to be usable on modern pc. Preferable local only either online or physical shop. Thanks in advance.

I need one as well (female DIN to PS/2). Bloody difficult to find.

I've only ever seen the reverse (female PS/2 to DIN) being retailed here

I guess you mean the current Bro sale? I am eyeing the pale blue artisan and gamer set but going for buckling spring this time.

I agree with you. I don't understand why the local market would like to go around the other ways instead of attaching old keyboards to modern PC. I have seen quite a few in ebay malaysia by international seller (mostly in European countries). But there are risks involve including long shipping time, lost, and so on. Shorter distance like singapore is still fine.
I don't know why I also like to type on properly design cheap membrane keyboard especially those from the 90s and early 20th just as much as I like mechanical.
No that is a ps/2 pin which would fit right in a ps/2 to usb adapter. We need an extra adapter which is to turn the 5 Din AT to ps/2.
*
right, i got what you need exactly here!! thumbup.gif

Simply because Rantopad isn't a great brand, nor is the MXX a great product. The only reason to buy it is because it comes with Gaterons by default.
That's what I wanted to know. Tempted to buy one just to do a review.

Massdrop a drop on KBP V60 with Gateron before this, but can't seem to find the link now

QUOTE(davey.havok @ Mar 2 2016, 11:35 PM)
I don't mind a dirty one as long as it's cheap. I won't even bother getting it refurbished.

Eventually I would like to own a mint one in its original packaging (easily found on eBay if you are willing to part with $500) but that's not a priority.
*
those prices are jacked up because of the hype for mechanical keyboards now. why not try unicomp ones?
